jkrueger Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 Is that a picture of Ryland scrambling for some air? That photo is disgusting, by the way, and in bad taste. [ 10-09-2002, 02:53 PM: Message edited by: jkrueger ]

Necronomicon Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 I thought it was "scrapple". It's some good shit, patties of fried ground pig everything.
ryland_moore Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 TR: I was climbing up this sweet hand crack and thought I was on route until the crack started to get extremely thin. Pretty soon my fingers were too big for the crack and my last piece of pro was about 20 feet below me and questionable. To make a last ditch effort at not taking a huge whipper, I completed a nose jam. This allowed me to get a micro nut in and send the rest of the pitch to an anchor. I estimate this was a first (and probably last) ascent and I will call it White Whale 5.10 A0 X
Necronomicon Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 BTW, someone had to locate that picture, which probably required sifting through a number of similar images. Hmmm...charming
Greg_W Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 Ryland, that would actually go 500.10 A0 XXX (Rated XXX due to extreme possibility of suffocation going for the top)
ryland_moore Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 Actually, All it took was Google images and the search for butt crack! Sorry if I went too far. The office is getting to me and need to get rid of some energy.
Beck Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 ... some people think Dru may need some help attempting to define scrambling, Karen!!!

Dru Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 quote: Originally posted by Beck: ... some people think Dru may need some help attempting to define scrambling, Karen!!! I already defined it as Scree Rambling. I was told by one self defined scrambler that a route I described as a "scramble" on bivouac.com was "not a scramble and dangerous" so I dunno what scrambling is I guess. Except for mixing up eggs in a fry pan or what your feet do just before you fall out of an offwidth.
Dru Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 Ryland are those ballz or someones head down at the bottom of that there crack i cant believe I actually looked at that enuf to ask that question
chucK Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 Thanks Ryland from me and from everybody who now has that picture stored on their computers at work. Think you can drop it into a few more threads?
