So I take it that you guys won't be supporting Charlie Crist as your candidate's running mate?

Have you ever spent time in the Everglades? I have. Waist deep in that nasty mocassin infested shit hole. Fill it in with asphalt as far as I am concerned.

Wow, you're really showin' us something here! America should clone your DNA to create a race of highly intelligent super-soldiers...and then shoot you guys up into space and use you as missile target practice.

I take a different read on this. After decades of free Corps of Engineers work for the sugar industry, along with high tariffs and setting an artificially high US price for sugar, why the hell should any taxpayer actually pay a dime much less than $1.75 BILLION to stop the gravy train. If our legislators had their heads out of their asses, they would just cut off COE support, remove import tariffs and let the US sugar business fail on its own. It could then go in and restore the Everglades to its hearts desire.

I think the taxpayers were just sucker-punched by a backroom deal and folks are just eating up the spin.

My, I'm grumpy today.

'Psycho nutcase' is redundant.

Puti-tang has successfully re-constituted centralized, totalitarian power in Russia. The difference is, Russia has given up it's bullshit conventional military drug habit (ours is still sucking us dry), Russia has a rich energy future (ours is sucked dry), and Russia still maintains a formidable nuclear arsenal, undoubtedly still aimed (if they have any sense at all) squarely at us.

The U.S. has been, in effect, complicit in Russia's rising power by refusing to pursue energy independence, supporting Putin every step of the way, launching a program of international military belligerence, creating a 'war on terror' excuse to make war on any separatist movement, anywhere, any time, and threatening Russia's allies, driving them further into Puty's arms.
