kevino
Kind of surprised no one has posted this: "We felt we were trying to find our brothers"
ivan
so it sounds like they were hit by an avi while in camp, not while boarding?
Argus
That's what I got out of it.
billcoe
Had to be the case. So very sad for the families but I hope that they can have some peace now. But admirable from the crew that went up: big respect to that awesome crew. I generally rest easy in the woods, oblivious and impervious to rockfall, avalanches or Mountain Lions dragging my wide ass out into the woods knowing that you bastards would all immediately rush up to come get me just to fish my gear out of the tent and divy it up. Take care all!

astrov
I hope the cheery smiles on the group photo belie their sadness
Lowell_Skoog
I hope the cheery smiles on the group photo belie their sadness If you want a better sense of the emotions of that day, you might peruse the following thread: http://www.turns-all-year.com/skiing_snowboarding/trip_reports/index.php?topic=10307.0 As I wrote at the time, "We felt fortunate to have contributed to an ending which, while it was not happy, was absolutely right."
