prole
Ornery economist Joseph Stiglitz gives the most complete financial account of the war to date. A review can be found here.
kevbone
What war are you referring too? Do you mean the occupation of Iraq by America?
billcoe
That looks like an excellent book. I just ordered it. The way this kind of thing can turn out, a book like this can help define the political agenda on a voting year. Of course, you sadly still can't reclaim the lost money and lives you just pissed down the toilet. Here's to hope for the future. The real question is this: do you continue and stay the course now that you've invested the bulk of the money and you appear to have turned the corner, or cut your loses and get out now? No matter which choice, the question remains what would be the best course of action of either choice. I suspect our individual answers will be colored by our own perspectives and lives. Young people may not remember being lied to repeatedly by the Nixon and Johnson Administration on Vietnam. Google: "Domino theory" or "Vietnam Body Counts" to see what some of us remember. Bug
We sure scared the hell out of the commies in Vietnam. Now we are scaring the hell out of al-quaida. And check out the special on gasoline. Only $107 a barrel. "That's not that bad." Gee, after all those years of republican control of all 3 branches of government we almost have things straightened out. Hey, who forgot to bring up abortion during all those republican parties? It almost seems like they used anything they could to get into office and then blew it all off while they sucked the hell out of middle class wallets. Follow the money.
