catbirdseat Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 I don't call someone a liar until I have evidence to prove it. Just because a story sounds unlikely doesn't give you the right to call it a lie. Quote

Just because a story sounds unlikely doesn't give you the right to call it a lie. Â Didn't say I did just that someone else does. It may be true but is sound too fishy to me from the start. Quote
archenemy Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 A lot of people think this guy is lying. Doesn't take an investigative genius to realize the story doesn't add up. However, the family has opted not to go public with whatever may have happened; and their right to privacy is supreme. Â It is too bad search and rescue had to waste their time and their gas money, but they know that is part of the many risks that come with the job. I am glad no S&R were injured in the effort, and glad that jogger guy came to his senses and made it home safely. Quote
AlpineK Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 I talked to one of the people involved in the search for the dude not too long ago. The guy I talked to doesn't believe that the dude was down a ravine for so long. They did do a very good search all over the area for the guy. Quote
tanstaafl Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 I like how he hikes uphill for 15 minutes and then decides that it's too much work and he'll just take the word of a random guy at the trailhed that there's a ravine up there. Now that's some admirable investigative journalism. Quote
kevbone Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 God....I thought this thread would be about Bush....you know, the liar. Quote

kevino Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 I've run a lot of miles at cougar mtn park and I have a hard time believing someone would fall into a ravine in the first place. Secondly, then not be found? And why would he spend the night when he could just get back to the trial? That park is not THAT exotic. Quote
