Hey, anyone got any furniture they want to depart with? I need some stuff for the new apt and figured you guys might have some unwanted clutter. If it's nice, I'll be willing to pay. I don't want to go through craigslist since I have to find a vehicle to pick it up and don't want to deal with logistics like that.

 

Here's my shopping list. I'd be broke if I got it all new

Bed frame +/or mattress (full or queen)

Pillow

Small couch or loveseat

Small coffee table

Small dining table + 2 chairs

Small/medium flat desk

DVD Player

Pots/Pans/Frypans

Baking Sheet

Sharp Knives/Steak Knifes

Mixing Bowels

Cutting board

Cullender (sp?)

Vegie Steamer

Wooden Spoons

Tupperware

Measuring Cups/Spoons

Can opener

Misc household stuff (like soap,sponges,etc...)

I would suggest getting a used mattress from the YMCA. Boards on cinder blocks make great desks/coffee tables/end tables/bed frames/etc and you can even burn the boards for heat and use the cinder blocks as a barricade when they shut the power off and forcibly evict your broke ass.
