olyclimber Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 ALL CLIMBERS ON MT HOOD MUST BRING A DOG TO CUDDLE WITH AT ALL TIMES OR FACE PROSECUTION BY THE PARK RANGERS AND/OR THE ROTFLOL PATROL. Quote
Cobra_Commander Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 How has this "photo" been allowed to stand when it is simply impossible to have had a conscious luke skywalker, solo, and tauntaun in the same shot. It is a forgery. Quote
archenemy Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 And why do you never see any Taun Taun poop? No yellow snow. Nothing. Quote
EWolfe Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 Ground-up Taun Taun horn makes you impervious to Hood accidents. Before your next adventure, don't forget: Quote

olyclimber Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Here we go again. If people are stupid enough to climb Mt.Hood in the winter, they deserve to be lost. Quote
olyclimber Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Government tax dollars being spent to save me from my home being on fire is one thing. Most of us live in some sort of a home, be it a house, condo, apartment, etc. So it is equitable. Gov dollars pouring out, again, to "rescue" people from The Mountain is an abuse. Waivers should be required and signed saying "climb at your own risk." Period. And sensitivities aside, people talk about this now because it is occuring now. No one wished these people harm...I just do not want to pay for their "extreme" outing. Part of what makes it "cool and extreme" is the possibility of danger. Well, danger happened. Quote
el jefe Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 i say we throw the in debtor's prison until they pay back the money. or lock them up in stocks in the public square. or both. lashes with the cat-o-9- tails, maybe? Quote

olyclimber Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 to be clear, my posts above were the usual stupid stuff that is made on news sites these days (in this case the katu site) and not my own thoughts. i'm feeling pretty bad for all of the Gullberg family, and hoping the others make it off.
