catbirdseat
Take a look. It sucks. You can no longer embed images in the threads, "for performance reasons". Can you imagine cc.com without embedded images?
chucK
Oh, I'm sorry you don't like it. I'll do something about it right away!

Weekend_Climberz
Plus the site breaks when you have a small window. Someone needs to go back to their HTML Accessibily 101 class
flatwall
A few years ago, a guy I knew was working over at rockclimbing.com. He told me that the owner was quite a hardhead about the development techniques used. it was completely homemade without regard to the standard (and quickly evolving) practices in web design. He later quit in disgust. I have to say that I've never been impressed with the site, although I have *wanted* to be. I like the photo shuffling/rating system, and when I was starting out, I like tracking my tics on their profile. It was the first route db I saw that folks were actively adding into - myself included. Sadly, the site is too slow and too buggy for it to be a daily visit anymore. It was just my way of saying that we should all appreciate what a fine job Jon and Timmy have done here.

I think that the last oweners burned lots of helpful souls for no reason. Somebody bought the site from them, and this is a start of an attempt to fix the bugs. I wish them well. flatwall
Well bill, if they're under new mgmt, then good for them. I just poked around the new site again and I have to say...it's not bad. It's pretty professional looking. There are a few bugs in the msg system, but overall it works pretty well. I'm happy just to have multiple places to check for info/routes/trips/partners.
