bstach Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Can you post some tips on better photography next? Rotflmfao. You are the king of spray, Dru. Quote
Cobra_Commander Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 To those new, it pays to master the subtle-but-not-so-subtle chestbeat. It is a delicate balance because you want to avoid being accused of such, but at the same time you can leave no doubt that you are the muthafukin man. So for example when someone posts a TR about some difficult line, your response should be, "Great line, isn't it?" or something to that extent. This makes it clear that you have climbed said line before the person, yet you have ammunition in case someone accuses you of an attempted stealth cheastbeat. This can backfire if the line isn't that great. The possibilities are really endless. Quote
G-spotter Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Or even "Did you find my neutrino?" Quote
Cobra_Commander Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 that might be going a bit far. Quote
cj001f Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 that might be going a bit far. where do Mtn. Rescue pictures fall on the chestbeat scale? Quote
sk Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 isn't anything like a newb. you've never seen me 'climb' ha, thats good. and thanks for being so kind g-spotter, thats why i joined... thats what we call TUFF LUV Quote
Dechristo Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 I go to minnesotaclimbing.com for my climbing info. They do stuff none of you people have done... or, thought of! And, there's this rad guy there that sounds like he's climbed a lot; he talks knowingly and glowingly about Mt. Squamish. He says this website is nothing but Newbies. I have to admit, until recently, I thought when he refered to you all as "Newbies", that meant you were all followers of Newb Gingrich. Quote
kevbone Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Ah dechristo crack, I have missed you. And to all you newbies out there. Thick skin is all you need in this web world. Quote
bstach Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 (edited) Oooops...original post was meant for a different thread...Moral: Don't drink and post. Post moved to "lets spray Gary Yngve thread". Edited September 12, 2006 by bstach Quote
catbirdseat Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 I think Dwayner used to use that avatar image of yours. At first glance I think it is Dwayner come back from the grave. It's freaky, man! Quote
bstach Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Sorry, CBS, its a cc.com stock Avatar - been to lazy to actually add one. Or maybe you all just have waaay more time on your hands. It'll be my shoulder season project when it is too wet to climb, not enough snow to ski. Either that or ordering materials from Focus on the Family. No wait...I'm not taking a chance...if it turns out there really is a God, you guys are soooo going to hell for that. Quote
Mos_Chillin Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Also,is FAQ mean the same thing as "what the FAQ"? Thanks for the info from the easily intimidated. PS? From what I can gather if you don't have either neutrinos or a windshirt, you are weak - per Gary. Verify? Quote
StevenSeagal Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 And if any of you newbies need some justice, talk to me first. There's a lot of people here who think they're Above the Law. I got news for you- they aren't. Quote
Bug Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 So do any of you have beta on the Tooth? Quote
