chucK
I just put a pointer up to let everyone know that you can listen to a current album by a rock hero getting all political, GRATIS! You chime in with negativity. What a wanker.
dt_3pin
i preferred it when he was more rocking, less sensitive old dude acoustic. Thanks Chuck. I'd forgoten that would be up today. Neil

dt_3pin
That whole Royal Albert Hall show is phenomenal. A piece of rock history. I love that version of One Too Many Mornings. Electric Bob Edited April 28, 2006 by dt_3pin
mattp
I think he can still rock when he wants to but I have not seen him live for about ten years. Though he DID travel with Pearl Jam, I bet most people who are buying Rage against the Machine cd's are not looking to Neil Young for real rock and I actually like his Harvest Moon CD as much as I like the more rocking Crazy Horse stuff. Give the guy a break, after all he's 60, not to mention that he had surgery to fix a brain aneurysm about a year ago.

mattp
Zuma was a long time ago. And, I will add, if you think that is hard rocking I wonder what you do when faced with speed metal?
olyclimber
did you listen to the last album? you could put a baby to sleep with it. i'm not saying it isn't "good", it just isn't for me.
mattp
I'm not surprised. I wasnt overly impressed with the little bit I just heard on this one, either. But THE MAN is awesome! He's released a ton of good stuff and I've seen him put on a great show. With Crazy Horse he totally rocked the Gorge about ten years ago. MarkMcJizzy
They just played "Impeach the President" on KEXP. That from a man who four years ago sang No one has the answer, But one thing is true, You've got to turn on evil, When it's coming after you, You've gota face it down, And when it tries to hide, You've gota go in after it, And never be denied, Time is runnin' out, Let's roll. Let's roll for freedome, Let's roll for love, We're going after satan, On the wings of a dove, Let's roll for justice, Let's roll for truth, Let's not let our children, Grow up fearfull in there youth. Neil rules, Bush is a dumbshit.

Mal_Con
“Let’s Impeach the President” Let’s impeach the president for lying And leading our country into war Abusing all the power that we gave him And shipping all our money out the door He’s the man who hired all the criminals The White House shadows who hide behind closed doors And bend the facts to fit with their new stories Of why we have to send our men to war Let’s impeach the president for spying On citizens inside their own homes Breaking every law in the country By tapping our computers and telephones What if Al Qaeda blew up the levees Would New Orleans have been safer that way Sheltered by our government’s protection Or was someone just not home that day? Let’s impeach the president For hijacking our religion and using it to get elected Dividing our country into colors And still leaving black people neglected Thank god he’s cracking down on steroids Since he sold his old baseball team There’s lot of people looking at big trouble But of course the president is clean Thank God
