larrythellama Posted March 30, 2006 Share Posted March 30, 2006 the increased power usage is not generally the way cops find out about grow ops. there are large spikes in power usage during the winter and when people fire up their a/c units. it tends to be a pissed off friend or a snooping neighbor. the smell of the plants is also a better and more likely to give you away.
