sweatinoutliquor
That's some sick skiing guys, way to go!
lunger
Awesome! Did you have to rap the bottom of the route as well? no just the two up higher--the 'schrund required minimal air time. i also had some loose ski hijinx that required shenanigans from rap 2, but am too shamefaced to detail. i made a fistful of 'turns' on the whole face, but want more of that once i get the appropriate skis & cajones. overall a super cool time--that shite talker is the man w/ the plan. some pics (unfortunately had camera set on low-res, dammit): Â Just emerging from the fog, first view of obj.: Â Sky on lead: Â Clouds flowing, Sky climbing in lower left corner: Â Sky skiing/photographing lower down: Â Onslaught! I've never posted photos before, so might need some help w/ size, etc. --gallery has a few more... Â ps, DirtyHarry, I will take you to the rack, then stomp you like a Narc at a bike rally. benmitchell17
how was the approach up there? How long did it take on the skis?
CascadeClimber
Geez, I was hoping to climb the NF and yet now someone has actually skied it. Wicked! Â I'm pretty certain that it was skied on tele gear by Dave Warnick in the mid to late 90s.
skykilo
There were some funny posts here. What happened? Why the moderation? Â Reminds me of when someone took the funny posts where Ray and Mike flamed some Coloradan after I posted pictures from skiing the North Face of Shuksan. Â Seriously, what gives? Don't say anything funny! When does banter become intolerable spray? Did somebody complain? Â Anyway, I want it to go on the record: DirtyHarry skied Da Toof on skate skis. NICE WORK FOO! JoshK
What did you rap off, Sky? Â Looks like a buried tree in that one pic, but I can't really tell.
skykilo
We rapped off two trees. For the climb, the total pro used was 1 screw, two pickets and two trees. We had little nuts, but decided to just use the big ones instead.
To_The_Top
I moved it to here: spray Great ski! TTT
Alpinfox
I moved it to here: spray Great ski! TTT Â Maybe posters of trip reports should be allowed to moderate their own trip reports. I, for one, don't mind spray in my TRs, but I know some do.
RocNoggin
nice job! great pics, thanks for the TR.
ken4ord
Yeah!!! Way to go Lunger and Sky! You guys are fuckin' sick in the head. That is crazy looking decent.
Norman_Clyde
That is crazy looking decent. Sky and Lunger look decent in every photo. What's so crazy about it? Strong work. I would inquire about your next objective, except it's totally clear to me already.
DirtyHarry
That is crazy looking decent. Sky and Lunger look decent in every photo. Â Yeah, I really thought Eric's jacket brings out the blue in his eyes. For Sky though, I think more of a burnt cienna colored shell would compliment his complexion more. lunger
yeah, i didn't mind the spray either--though i do think that messrs. layton and harry should get their own Homoerotic Badinage Forum ... Â that said, layton doesn't deserve the the common courtesy of a reach-around, that leathery dasypygal t-rex mutant.
ken4ord
That is crazy looking decent. Sky and Lunger look decent in every photo. What's so crazy about it? Strong work. I would inquire about your next objective, except it's totally clear to me already. Â It is crazy and wild from my perspective cause I don't have the skillz nor the balls for it. It is totally doable, as we have been shown, when are you going to post up your TR of Chair descent Norm?

For Sky though, I think more of a burnt cienna colored shell would compliment his complexion more.  Normally I would have agreed with you about Skykilo. but from talking to those who witnessed the debut of the peacock motif last year, I think he's taught us to rediscover new permutations of red, yellow, and cornflower blue.  http://cascadecrusades.org/SkiMountainee...lmowich2005.htm  http://mtnphil.com/Mowich/Mowich.html
DirtyHarry
Good point. That Seattle sumbrero probably turns some heads. Atleast, neither Eric or Sky were wearing white after Labor Day though. Call me old fashion, but I still find that soooo de rigeure.
dalius
We had little nuts, but decided to just use the big ones instead. Â We talking chocks or cojones here? I don't imagine enough exposed rock for chocks - am I wrong?
skykilo
By little nuts I meant chocks; by big nuts I meant cojones. We didn't place any (little) nuts, but it would have been possible near the top bulge.
