Dru Posted October 29, 2002 Posted October 29, 2002 I have climbed 1200m of ice (and snow) in the last 2 weeks Calf workouts. Â There were some short Rockies style icefalls formed up there too on melt from snow patches. Bet they are buried under freshiez now. Chilliwatts has freshiez to 4500' today. Quote

Greg_W Posted October 29, 2002 Posted October 29, 2002 quote: Originally posted by Lambone: everything up in the enchantment lakes area was frozen over the weekend. need more waterfalls up there I wouldn't say it was "all frozen over"; there was ice on the edges of the streams and thin ice on some of the lakes. Cavey, the outfall of Vivianne was flowing and had ice forming on the sides. Coming down off of Asgaard (shitty chosspile) there were some flows forming up, but still running with water underneath. Lambone Posted October 29, 2002 Posted October 29, 2002 The thin low angle flow coming down off Asgard is plenty fat enough to climb. it'd be about 600ft of grade two ice...have at it mounties! Don't forget to wear your gaiters over your long underwear under your shorts...and bring many pickets!  Whats the matter greg, have a hard time following the trail down Asgard? maybe we should all pitch in to make those carins bigger  [ 10-29-2002, 03:43 PM: Message edited by: Lambone ] Quote
vegetablebelay Posted October 29, 2002 Posted October 29, 2002 You two can't agree on anything. Are you sure you had a good time up there? Quote
Lambone Posted October 29, 2002 Posted October 29, 2002 Not really, I was too baked to know what the hell was going on... Â Didn't see Greg up there, too busy looking for the trail Quote
Greg_W Posted October 29, 2002 Posted October 29, 2002 What day were you up there? I was descending at about 3:30 on Sunday. Quote
Lambone Posted October 29, 2002 Posted October 29, 2002 Oh, well then you would have seen our cloud of smoke... Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted October 30, 2002 Posted October 30, 2002 That's ok Greg he's still a greenhorn for that range and the Stuart Range (me too). At least you summited monument  The cloud of smoke was not large enought to distinguish when you already have more smoke clouds in your face  [ 10-29-2002, 05:41 PM: Message edited by: Cpt.Caveman ] Quote
