Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 1. Monkey Face (any route) Â You've never been up the Monkey?! Â Who would've thought? Quote
Off_White Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 Well you know DFA, it could be like you've been "up" Futility Bill, maybe Tex just dogged the Monkey and he's looking to do a tidy redpoint and clear his record? Quote
Jason_Martin Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 If someone came to the Northwest and said that he had to climb five routes and only five routes, these are the one's I'd recommend:  1) Outerspace 2) Dreamer 3) N. Ridge of Stuart 4) Northwest Face to North Ridge of Forbidden Peak 5) North Face of Shuksan  I think these routes are some of the best because of the sound rock, views, and quality climbing. They aren't necessarily the biggest or the hardest routes in the range, but I do think that they are all qualify as "must dos."  Jason Quote
texplorer Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 DFA, I listed routes that I have done that someone "must do." I picked them for the quality of climbing, position, classic status, and fun from different regions of the NW. Â I have personally done the pioneer route, soloed the W. face variation, and also did monkey space a few times. Maybe I'll suck it up and try the west face next. Â My "want to do" top 5 might be: 1. Yokum Ridge 2. Hyperspace-Outerspace-Orbit linkup 3. R.O.T.C. and Supercrack at midnight rock 4. Balanced Rock 5. Thin Red line-Liberty Crack linkup Quote
Peter_Puget Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 1) Why hasn't anyone mentioned that really good V5/6 at Sehome Hill - it rocks!  2) The V5 arete problem at Zekes Wall  3) The Wild Problem on the Zekes Boulder  4) The Prow (Original Route)  5) That hard problem on the Sword Quote
