pope Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 Now if George W. gets elected, it may just be too embarassing to call myself an "American". What's required for Canadian citizenship these days? Quote
AlpineK Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 When your car battery goes dead don't ask for a jump; ask for a boost ehh. Not a bad question. I should start looking into jobs in Vancouver. Quote
snoboy Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 Warning - Really (extrememly) bad taste... There's probably a few tree jobs in Victoria that need doing now... Quote
Stemalot Posted August 28, 2004 Posted August 28, 2004 Just a caution, if you don't like George W., you are most likely not going to like BC's premier, Gordan Campbell and the idiots running the province much. A so called "liberal" but really a wolf disguised as a sheep. He leads the Liberal party in BC, but practices fascism. In a recent poll, BCers rated their dislike of Campbell almost as much as Bush. Hey, but Canada welcomes ya! Quote
whirlwind Posted August 28, 2004 Posted August 28, 2004 problem is canada and the us are so intertwined that the us's mishaps are bound to effect canadians at some point in time, but before then the "lunie tunies" in us office are making the lunies and tunies worth more though Quote
scott_harpell Posted August 28, 2004 Posted August 28, 2004 Canada is 10 times more fouled than the U.S. and that is saying a lot. The government is owned by biker gangs, the leadership just was accused of stealing mass quantities of money. Two provinces have 100% of the power while the rest are yanked along for the ride and the list goes on. Quote
EWolfe Posted August 28, 2004 Posted August 28, 2004 Now if George W. gets elected, it may just be too embarassing to call myself an "American". What's required for Canadian citizenship these days? I feel ya, Brutha. Quote
Fairweather Posted August 28, 2004 Posted August 28, 2004 Pope and AlpineK: I doubt your perception of life up there will jibe with reality. But, anyhow..... See ya! (Quitting is sooo un-American!) Quote
snoboy Posted August 28, 2004 Posted August 28, 2004 Actually, speaking as a Canadian, I would say that they would enjoy life up here quite a bit. If we wanted them that is. scott is just bitter, because he had to go a coupla weeks without beer. Stemalot is right though Campbell sucks ass! He is the premeir who has made it possible to even entertain the idea of the Chief Gondola project. Quote
Lars Posted August 28, 2004 Posted August 28, 2004 dont let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. Quote
Zoran Posted August 29, 2004 Posted August 29, 2004 Just wait a little. We will be part of USA when you run out of water. At the moment you really need something from us, you will eat us for breakfast. I won't be happy but you will have one more vote against Bush. Hey, What are the requirements to get Mexican citizenship? Z Quote
Szyjakowski Posted August 29, 2004 Posted August 29, 2004 Due to the rate mexicans come northe across our border i would be shocked to learn if they have requirements to gain citizenship. ~your point tho about water issues is very interesting. Quote
fear_and_greed Posted August 29, 2004 Posted August 29, 2004 Holy crap we have lots of water, lots of oil, B.C. bud and can travel to Cuba. I'd be in shock and awe if Bush didn't launch Operation Terminate Hoser. Quote
willstrickland Posted August 29, 2004 Posted August 29, 2004 If you are that concerned with the potential outcome of the election, I suggest you put your money where you mouth is and travel to Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Iowa, or New Mexico and work in the "get out the vote" effort there. Turnout is going to determine this election. Quote

Turnout is going to determine this election. I think that's always the case. And I also think that knowing what we know about George Junior, after four years of this horseshit, if we elect him again then, as a nation, on the average, we are a pathetic assembly of stupid drones who admire and encourage recklessness, arrogance and incompetence in our leaders. Frickin' embarassing. Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us twice....I ain't one of you. Quote
Szyjakowski Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 hello capitalist you have peanut butter cup we have bc bud thank you for allow canadian 2 post eh! funny did you see the recent TIME magazine (Big Cat issue) with the bc bud article? As southpark says: BLAME CANADA! Quote
