Chica
I've done a bit of weekend research but am still having a hard time figuring out the least of the worst places to be this weekend for a 3 person climb either multi-pitch rock or snow/glacier. Whatever our best chances are...any thoughts?
Lambone
Mt Shasta...at least that's where I'm going. our chances are questionable
Chica
That is kinda' what I am thinking about everywhere! May have more hangin' out than climbing goin' on!
matt_warfield
It is a classic weekend to avoid unsettled weather west of the crest and go east of the mountains to drier climes and warm rock climbing: Leavenworth, Smith Rock, etc.
Chica
We were hoping for Wa pass or Darrington area, but I think (know) you are right to increase our chances!
Paco
Yeah, Leavenworth or Smith Rocks would probably be your best bet, but I'm going to take my chances in Squamish with a few others. If it rains I'll just eat awesome french toast, drink coffee, and bug thelawgoddess while she works.

Jim_T
Yeah I've got the same problem. Wanted to go to WA pass for the last two weeks but ended up changing our plans. I'm tempted to just go anyway this weekend!

murraysovereign
Five rainy weekends in a row... Â Actually, it's been five rainy forecasts in a row. They're not the same thing. With the exception of Memorial Day weekend, we've had pretty good weather in Squamish all the way through. Not hot and sunny, for sure, but not raining much, either.
