Dave_Schuldt Posted July 5, 2002 Posted July 5, 2002 I know Greg W wants to party up north, however, the weather forcast promises a warm sunny day on Tuesday. So if the north and eastsiders don't speak up lets do GOLDEN GARDENS again. The place is wrth the trip. Watch Mattp get hasseled by the fuz. Bring frisbees. Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted July 6, 2002 Author Posted July 6, 2002 Just bringing this to the top for further discusion. Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted July 8, 2002 Author Posted July 8, 2002 TIME TO WAKE UP AND DECIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Slide Posted July 8, 2002 Posted July 8, 2002 just thought I'd bring this to the top in hopes that someone would decide. Let me know and I'll be there Quote
MysticNacho Posted July 8, 2002 Posted July 8, 2002 Are 40 people showing up these days again, or are the numbers still down from the Caveman Mutiny? Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted July 8, 2002 Author Posted July 8, 2002 We have been getting about 20 in Seattle lately. It will probebly be less than 40 with summer vacations. Quote
chucK Posted July 8, 2002 Posted July 8, 2002 SO IS IT GOLDEN GARDENS OR WHAT???? Â I vote for Golden Gardens or Fiddler's Inn. I'd say Matthew's Beach but I think we'd get the boot before I even showed up there. Quote
Slide Posted July 8, 2002 Posted July 8, 2002 caveman mutiny??? I've been gone for a couple months. Anyone care to clue me in? Did caveman get drunk again? Actually that's a stupid question, of course he got drunk. Anyway, anyone care to explain? Quote
allison Posted July 9, 2002 Posted July 9, 2002 The Fiddler's blows. Fern bar. Â Plus it is way way too small. Â So are we out on the beach again, or should we maybe do one of our old standbys like the Ballard Alehouse ore somesuch? Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted July 9, 2002 Author Posted July 9, 2002 Cavey got pissed because we decided to have a Seattle PC when it was the Eastsides turn. When the Eastside had one most of the people that showed were from Seattle. he through a major temper tantrum with much spray everwhere. He doesn't show any more, and we miss the the entertainment. Come on baby Cavie WE MISS YOU!!!!!!! Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted July 9, 2002 Posted July 9, 2002 There is no such thing as a caveman mutiny. I wont be showing tomorrow. Got other plans. Quote
AlpineK Posted July 9, 2002 Posted July 9, 2002 OK anyway.... Â So we should drink outside. Either Golden Gardens or some bar with outside seating. Â Right now fires are banned at GG, so what do ya'll think? Â [ 07-08-2002, 07:20 PM: Message edited by: AlpineK ] Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted July 9, 2002 Author Posted July 9, 2002 The Fiddlers has outdoor seating. Places with outdoor seating Dad Watsons Red Door the Ballroom  I like The Ballroom Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted July 9, 2002 Posted July 9, 2002 OK anyway... Â The rumor was sprung about a mutiny by alpinek. Something about "feeding egos" Â Have fun people Quote
chelle Posted July 9, 2002 Posted July 9, 2002 Doesn't seem to be a consensus building about where to enjoy the weather this evening. How about the Ballroom. Nice outdoor seating and somewhat central location for Seattle. Â I can't show until about 9:15 and getting kicked off the beach at 11:00 pm sucked last time. Quote

AlpineK Posted July 9, 2002 Posted July 9, 2002 I'm down with the Ballroom. Despite the fact (or maybe because) that it's a, "heinous meat market." Quote
mattp Posted July 9, 2002 Posted July 9, 2002 The ballroom was fine last time. And I think the parking there is slightly better than accross the bridge at the Nickerson. Quote
thelawgoddess Posted July 9, 2002 Posted July 9, 2002 quote: Originally posted by allison: Well then, "Heinous Meat Market" (to quote myself) it is! heh, heh - perfect description! Quote
mattp Posted July 9, 2002 Posted July 9, 2002 This bar is too small; that one's too smokey; the other is a meat market. Sheesh -- what a bunch of whiners. Do you complain about the mountains the same way? This one is too loose, that one is too small; the other is too bushy...sounds like Washington, doesn't it? Does it stop you from climbing? Should it stop you from drinking beer and getting to know your fellow bored office workers? Quote
Bronco Posted July 9, 2002 Posted July 9, 2002 Mattp: Â Like you can complain with your strong arm tactics! Â These folks shoulda been at the Monroe pube club then they wouldn't whine. Flat beer, only 3 on tap, some person repeatedly playing "I'm a cowboy" by kid rock (like 20 times), so loud you couldn't hear yerself think and only 3 pubers showed up....blah blah blah, time to go home. Â "you can't always get what you want but sometimes if you try you get what you need" Â I just made that up. Quote
erik Posted July 9, 2002 Posted July 9, 2002 mattp will you stop be so reasonable...and just strong arm the whole kitten kaboodle!!! Â Quote
thelawgoddess Posted July 9, 2002 Posted July 9, 2002 bored office workers??? i thought we were all hardcore climbers here! oh, wait; i forget who we're talking about. Â btw, that rock is too dirty, that other rock is too chossy, and that other other rock is too ugly. give me some nice clean beautiful granite!!! Quote
mattp Posted July 9, 2002 Posted July 9, 2002 Have you checked out the granite around here lately? Everybody knows the Girth Pillar is nothing but choss as you can tell by just looking at that awful stuff in specialed's pictures! (But he's "ready to climb" never-the-less -- a true role model for all of us.) Â [ 07-09-2002, 04:31 PM: Message edited by: mattp ] Quote
