disappointment in Bush :(

The average Americans seem to be totally oblivious to the fact that homelessness has

risen by 40-50% on a nationwide level and that poverty has reached an all time

high. They don't know that the US is last in education levels among first

world countries, that the deficit is greater than ever in recorded history, that

the unemployment rate keeps climbing despite Bush claiming otherwise, or all

the other grim facts of life in America.

I saw some of Bush's new TV ads last night. In one of them he keeps saying, "I KNOW what to do" to bring jobs to this country, to keep us safe, to jump start the economy, blah, blah, blah.

I couldn't help thinking, "If you've KNOWN what do to for the last four years, why in the HELL, haven't you done it!"

The sad thing is that they all think that this is their job. Except keeping us safe, give companies the freedom to be profitable.

Got this via email....

>> According to the person who forwarded this message to me, "This is a short poem made up entirely of actual quotations from George W. Bush. These have been arranged, only for aesthetic purposes, by Washington Post writer, Richard Thompson. A wonderful Haiku poem like this is too good not to share."

My mom has only voted for a democrat one time, and never for president (it was a House of Rep seat). Voted for Republican presidential candidates in every election since 1972. I'd call that "core constituent".

Many months ago she'd had enough of Shrub. Said to me "if he (Bush) sends our troops to one more place, I won't vote for him again". Three days later, we had troops in Liberia.

She's voting for Kerry.
