Dave_Schuldt Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 A similar thing happened to my great aunt Letty, she got her foot stuck between the gas and brake. She took out a few garbage cans and hit a few cars but no one was hurt. She stopped driving shortly after. Quote
John Frieh Posted March 9, 2004 Author Posted March 9, 2004 Good catch! It wasn't until after I got her relocated to our lawn did I return inside to don some shorts and pick glass out of my hand. Â Perhaps she caught sight of prince al... oh man... lawsuit. Quote
billcoe Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 Dude, the only thing better than an amazing tale is one so well written. Make sure it gets copied, pasted and turned into creative writing for an easy A+. Â And thank you from all of us who enjoyed it so much! Â Regards: Â Bill Quote
John Frieh Posted March 10, 2004 Author Posted March 10, 2004 Finally! First and foremost I aplogize for the quality; the copy from the slide wasn't as good as I hoped and as it's deadweek here it's in my best interests to log some library time instead of fiddling in photoshop all evening. You can find these photos in my gallery also. Â Never the less for your viewing enjoyment: my saturday morning. Quote
John Frieh Posted March 10, 2004 Author Posted March 10, 2004 This is the view from my bedroom. Quote
John Frieh Posted March 10, 2004 Author Posted March 10, 2004 The aftermath: this is what stopped her from making me a hood ornament. Quote
John Frieh Posted March 10, 2004 Author Posted March 10, 2004 My new living room wall: mural anyone? Note the amazing power of duct tape and my restored lazy boy. Quote
John Frieh Posted March 10, 2004 Author Posted March 10, 2004 And the outside view. You can kinda see what remains of the brick flowerbed and window. Quote
John Frieh Posted March 10, 2004 Author Posted March 10, 2004 And finally this one's dedicated to the AARP! Eat it! Â Sorry I had to attach these (instead of posting them); if someone wants to post them that would be great! Quote
griz Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 (edited) Oh,man...great frickin' story! Sorry to laugh at your misery but... I did. Â glad everyone was okay. Looks like that bush was the only fatality. Edited March 10, 2004 by griz Quote
John Frieh Posted March 10, 2004 Author Posted March 10, 2004 Honestly once I knew the lady and my brother were fine, I couldn't stop laughing about the whole thing. I called my parents (who also laughed) and all my friends in town. They all came over and enjoyed a good laugh over a cup of coffee. Good times were had by all. Quote
cracked Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 This is possibly the funniest pic I have EVER seen on this site. Quote

Blake Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 John, where's your creative writing skills now? We need a new Uncle_Tricky after all! Quote
John Frieh Posted February 23, 2006 Author Posted February 23, 2006 I traded them in for witty retorts and quick one liners in an attempt to save some face around this place.  You can tell I got screwed in the deal  I still have them... and *if* people don't mind older TRs I have some classic stories from my college days, my early climbing years, the boy scout years , and maybe a few NOLS stories. I sense the second I post one it will turn into another NOLS witch hunt... and if anything I don't want to draw attention away from Griz and Gary Yngve who have been so kind to fill the cc.com webbitch role for me Quote
