wayne Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 I just caught on to r-head. I got the bends and am going to buy the best 2 lps of theirs which ones do I look for? Quote
Fence_Sitter Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 i like the new stuff too... but if you like bends, ok computer will kick your ass! Quote
E-rock Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 Chicks always say "the Bends" is the best. Â Amnesiac and KidA are both really underrated IMO. Quote
Fence_Sitter Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 he newest one i didn't think was so great, but there are a few things in some of the songs that are soo amazingly beautifully crafted that i jsut cant help but go nuts... but i really do like kid-A on the best... though nostalgia sometimes rules out for the bends and ok... wayne Posted August 12, 2003 Author Posted August 12, 2003 I insist on keeping my 54k . (slow and painful)I had bearshare for many songs, it wont give up the full lps as easily. It slowed down my slow computer too Quote
Doug_Hutchinson Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 You kinda need to do Radiohead in order or their progression may be too weird if you jump ahead too much. Skip the first (Pablo Honey) cuz it sounds too poppy and single-oriented (has a few great songs). The Bends (2nd) rocks but OK Computer (3rd) is better and is the one that every critic creamed their pants over. The next two (Kid A, Amnesiac ) are both equally weird but great after listening to a lot. The new one (Hail to the Thief) is great and a little easier to like. Wit that said, buy OK Computer and Hail to the Thief - fill in the blanks later. Â I didn't really get their greatness until I saw them at the Gorge two years ago - like seeing the Stones in '72, Led Zep in '74, Talking Heads in '81, or Ween in '99 - fucking amazing! Radiohead plays Vancouver, BC 8/30 and White River (Auburn, WA) 8/31. Both are sold out I think but I suggest killing for ticket. If you can't get one, I recommend Ween in PDX 9/30-31 - just announced. Quote
fleblebleb Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 You're supposed to get OK Computer so I can rip it and put in my empty jewel case... Â What is more annoying than forgetting CDs in CD drives on random computers and never finding them again? Quote
thelawgoddess Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 werd. Â does anybody have my "the verve" cd? it is missing and i swear i left it in one of you f'ers' cars. it's not radiohead, but it was still one of my favorite cd's. Quote

erik Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 wayne recmo experience. Â get way blasted.....lay on a blanket with random road chik gurl and smoke doobies whilst listening to radiohead kid A and staring at the desert sky!!! Â Â Â Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 Smash your radio, and smash Radiohead, too. Fuckin' spaced-out shoegazer shit. Try some punk rock, it'll help you achieve the aforementioned tasks with a degree of vigor and aggression you never imagined you possessed. Â Â Quote
allthumbs Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 I see the jazz went right over your head. Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 Nah; the jazz is for chillin' out after you smash all that bunk shit. Quote
