EWolfe Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 I can't frickin' think in this heat! It was STILL 70 degrees when I went to bed at midnight last night!! Gotta figure out how to stay cool doesn't even help... Quote
kitten Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 It is very HOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTT. You could try losing the clothes and covers - then aiming a fan directly on yourself. If that doesn' work sleep in the basement, get a hotel room with A/C, or suffer with a cold compress all night. Best of luck! Quote
Dru Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 put your sheets and pillow in the freezer now take em out at bedtime in the meantime why not lower core temperature with a frozen daquiri? Quote
Fence_Sitter Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 get some vodka... put it in the freezer for a bit and have at her... you will wake up at 8:00 AM cool as a cucumber... Quote

Come down this way. Mid 80s at 10:00. 18 days so far this month with daytime temps over 100. That is why I went up OR and WA way for the first half of July. Well to escape the heat, climb, hike and fish. Here's hoping it cools down for all of us. Quote

The point is in places where heat is expected you've got A/C, swamp coolers, etc. The heat effects the PNW much more than Cali, areas further south, etc. Quote

RobBob Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 If you are that much of a True Believer, then not procreating is the only right thing to do. The best thing for the global environment would be to go back to the world population of the 1800s. Quote
