gapertimmy Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 anybody be game for a weekend of corniez up and around green lakes? might be a bit long of a hike to pull in a keg, but perhaps we can drink sexual chocolate all weekend long... 1st weekend of JUne or the second, I really don't care personally. i figure we could setup shop at green lakes, ski west choss slopes of b-top, and tag middle/south and just get plab. Quote
Fejas Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 Just make a sled to pull I'll sit in it with the keg and all you gapers can pull... I gotta wip... Mush, mush, mush, get on up dogs, mush... Quote
nonanon Posted May 21, 2003 Posted May 21, 2003 Sounds like fun to me, Tim. I've got a couple of under-employed tele-guns I could probably bring along, too. Quote
cj001f Posted May 21, 2003 Posted May 21, 2003 I'll add my name to the list. Should I bring the BBQ? Quote
gapertimmy Posted May 22, 2003 Author Posted May 22, 2003 Well, i'm going to tentatively plan this for the first weekend in June, Friday the 6th thru Sunday the 8th. I might head up Thursday after work to get the slog out of the way. Let me know if you think you can make it for a day or so, and perhaps we could plan on some community food/beverages. There should be plenty of snow still, and the bugs shouldn't bee too bad yet, i hope Quote
iain Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 ExtremoMtDude said: RIPPIN! i'm there. Maybe we could get the scorpion (or whatever that pipe groomer is called) from Bachelor and charge in via Todd Lake. Do some sick aerials up on Lewis G. I might be able to come but can't commit yet. Quote
gapertimmy Posted May 22, 2003 Author Posted May 22, 2003 The Cascade Lakes Highway will also be open for the weekend. However, there is still a lot of snow and there are no open turnouts or parking available from Mt. Bachelor to Elk Lake. Most hiking trails are under snow. snip from FS report. parking might be an issue, but there is still 2 weeks for some melting to happen. Quote
iain Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 excellent, south sister half-day run-ups are here at last. Quote
Fejas Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 I'd lovta come join ya guy... but atlass I'm the bestman in a wedding that weekend and can't swing it... looks like the keg will have to make the sled ride by itself... Quote
Cletus Posted May 23, 2003 Posted May 23, 2003 hey timmay, I think I can make this! (Shockingly). It works well into my other vague plans...thinking Shasta June 1ish with some Tahoe doods, South Sista +Broken Top with you and any of these plabbers 6-8th, Adams SW Chutes 14th ish with Ross if I can drag him out of Ketchum, maybe you or solo else... Hmm, and that's only the first half of June. Damn, I luuv summer volcano season!! Let's make this shizzy happen on the 6-8th! Quote
gapertimmy Posted May 23, 2003 Author Posted May 23, 2003 i wanna go shasta 8==================D Quote
gapertimmy Posted May 23, 2003 Author Posted May 23, 2003 PLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAB well, that is the plan folks, if you wanna come join cletus and gaper for a full frontal freshi fest, lemme know and we can plan accordingly. Quote
Cletus Posted May 23, 2003 Posted May 23, 2003 excellent! we'll discuss shasta and others... how's class? chatted with your babe last night for a bit, tried to meet her and Jessica up at the mountain for my last lift served turns, but I slept in and must have missed them. Went tele style - fun. But I GOTTA fixmy boots. Could barely stand after a few laps. Something wrong with the arches. Misformed thermoflex lines maybe. Anyhew... I'm off to CO for some adventuring...will post pics if I can, mid week-ish... Quote
gapertimmy Posted May 30, 2003 Author Posted May 30, 2003 PLABFEST IS ON! So far confirmed we have myself, becky, and the porno dogs. you dont' have to be a jibbin fool to come along, as becky prolly won't be skiing unless i hump her skis in for her. We plan on heading up Friday afternoon, and staying through Sunday, but if you can only make it for a day feel free to come up. It would be nice to figure out who's coming so we can plan on one nice meal, the hike isn't that bad at all so we can bring in lots of heavy shite. If the weather turns out the be shatty, we can always pack up and go to smiff, so the weekend will be plab no matter what. tim Quote
gapertimmy Posted June 2, 2003 Author Posted June 2, 2003 if anyone is planning on coming, pls lemme know by wed. THANKS Quote
b-rock Posted June 2, 2003 Posted June 2, 2003 hey where y'all planning on camping? green lakes? might try for the north to south traverse weather premitting Saturday and meet up that eve for some turns Sunday? Quote
b-rock Posted June 2, 2003 Posted June 2, 2003 wait, just read the first post, never mind, green lakes it is! Quote
kurthicks Posted June 3, 2003 Posted June 3, 2003 b-rock... are you planning on doing the Sisters Marathon or just SS from north-south? Quote
nonanon Posted June 5, 2003 Posted June 5, 2003 I'm coming done with at least one other corn star. "In my mind, I'm already gone." One question though, Timmay. Is there still mostly snow on the trail into the Lakes? I'm thinkin' that beer sleds don't slide so good on dirt. Scotch is flab too! Quote
gapertimmy Posted June 5, 2003 Author Posted June 5, 2003 definately snow on the trail still. the green lakes parking lot will be snowed in as well so parking might be tricky. Quote
Gaper_Jeffy Posted June 5, 2003 Posted June 5, 2003 are there any concerns about snow conditions given the obscenely warm weather? Quote
gapertimmy Posted June 5, 2003 Author Posted June 5, 2003 it will be warm, but so many different aspects to wank on Quote
