catbirdseat Posted April 10, 2003 Posted April 10, 2003 Dave, how about providing a subject line that gives the reader a clue about what is in the thread. It would save time for those people who don't care to read more war verbiage than we are already getting. Quote
Fejas Posted April 10, 2003 Posted April 10, 2003 I found the Cartoon to be much more entertaining!!! Quote

vegetablebelay Posted April 10, 2003 Posted April 10, 2003 http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,83704,00.html Arabs clustered at TV sets in shop windows, coffee shops, kitchens and offices to watch the astounding pictures of U.S. troops overwhelming an Arab capital for the first time ever. Feeling betrayed and misled, some turned off their sets in disgust when jubilant crowds in Baghdad celebrated the arrival of U.S. troops. "We discovered that all what the [iraqi] information minister was saying was all lies," said Ali Hassan, a government employee in Cairo, Egypt. "Now no one believes Al-Jazeera anymore." Quote

It has consistently provided both news stories and op/ed pieces from multiple viewpoints. They're pretty good at flagging the 'editorial' articles as such, which is more than I can say for most US papers. Maybe you're confusing Arabnews.com with Al-Jazeera. Quote

Well I don't think FOX is very objective. FOX TV is like one big comercial for the war interupted by comercials for home products. Everybody has there own secret agenda.....
