klenke
Help. I like drinking stouts at home and I want to buy a true Guinness stout glass. You know, the kind with the bulbous section just below the rim. Sometimes these glasses have Guinness written on their sides. Where can I go to buy one? I tried Fred Meyer. They don't have them. A good beer drinking tool is one of the most important pieces of equipment in a climber's arsenal. Thanks -- Klenke

COL._Von_Spanker
That place up on like 95th and Aurora has the specialty glasses for all the corresponding beers. Plus they have the motherload of beers (but I prefer Ballard market cause it's local). BTW: A guiness glass and a true pint glass are different. JoshK
My roommate's dad used to work at pyramid, thus we seem to have a lifetime supply of those. They are fairly cheap, however, so thye do seem to break fairly often.

Greg_W
Check out Guinness Webstore Look under "Enjoying" and then "Home Bar" They've got four-packs for about $28.
klenke
Damn, my mother and brother are in England right now. I should have had them pick one up from the Queen while they were there, but, alas, they're coming back on Thursday and I won't be able to contact them in time. Thanks for all the tips, guys. I'm surprised at the quickness of responses. But then, why should I be? It's a question about beer on a climber's website.

klenke
Damn, that website makes me thirsty for some Guinness. You know what I'm drinking tonight at PC: (five ought to be sufficient)
eternalX
Just go to an Irish bar and ask to buy. A lot of times they will sell them to you. Probably better odds if you go to a mom and pop and not some chainery like Fado. Marge! Beer Me!
JoshK
Klenke, I was just in the ballard fred meyer about 30 minutes ago. As of today or a few days ago they have a large guinness display setup near the south entrance. In any event, they had the actual guinness glasses for sale at $1.99 each. there were a ton of them there tonight.
Marc_of_the_North
My whole kitchen set (glasses, utensils, plates, etc) comes from various bars and restaurants. Why buy new when you can save the cash for climbing gear!
