Dave_Schuldt Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 I have to call BULLSHIT on the orange alert. I t is a distraction from the economy and propaganda for attacking Iraq. I haven't bought duct tape and plastic. How many time will the government cry wolf? If the real shit comes down no one will belive them. The more we do this the more the terorist win. Quote
iain Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they AREN'T out to get you! Quote
sk Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 I am wondering if the push to run out and purchase a bunch of emergancy supplies isn't ment to boost the econamy a little bit???? Quote

jkrueger Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 All of this is having some effect, as Muffy (who has been opposed to guns and violence for the entire time that I have known her) suggested that it is time to move the gun into the house. What's more, she said it is in her best interest to learn to use a handgun. Â Quote

So, buckle up and watch how the bright minds at the Pentagon and the CIA are twiddling their thumbs over how to stage an attack against the United States to change public opinion  I'm sure the Israelis are already working on it again. Some say they were the ones directly responsible for 9/11. Think about it....what better way to get the US to fight their little war a little harder. Quote
Necronomicon Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 I think it's hilarious that Americans are hermetically sealing themselves within in their houses in order to protect themselves from "terrorists", only to risk self-suffication in a matter of hours. I wish I held shares of 3M. This only goes to show how ignorant Americans are on basic concepts, like breathing, and how all that works. Quote

Off_White Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 It's all a conspiracy by 3M to boost sales. This last weekend's buying spree has been the point of this whole operation. Quote

Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 "3M knows what time it is. " Â Iain, one can only assume that such a large corporation has access to clocks, watches, and the like. Perhaps even sundials. How about bringing some useful information to the table for once? Quote
b-rock Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket? Quote
iain Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 hmmm...okay 3M sells this blue liquid non-conductive refrigerant for hundreds of dollars a gallon. You can drop running computers into it and they keep running "underwater". They also petitioned my ecology advisor to study the compounds secreted by freshwater mussels to attach themselves to rocks for the next breakthrough in adhesive technology. 3M does some funky stuff. And they have clocks, lots of em. Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 What's the point of putting a computer into blue liquid non-conducting refrigerant? Quote
