Dave_Schuldt Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 I suggest Dad Wattsons for this weeks venue. - Voted best fern bar by readers of the Seattle Meakly. - Located in the center of the universe, Fremont. - Nonsmoking. - trendiest food. - Trendiest people. - Lame wait staff. - AlpineKs favorite place. Let the spray begin. Run by Big Swifty and Ascociates, trend mongers Managed by Gregory Peckory Quote
erik Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 dave, not to bash you or anything.... but fremont in my book is more of a stain on the side of my toilet.. center of the universe has to be some place cool... like the lodge lot down in th valley. the center of the universe would suck you in, if you got near. fremont, well it just exists. have a good day!!! chris_w Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 Are you sure it's non-smoking? I could have sworn I came back all smokey last time. Quote
gapertimmy Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 PC at the BBC, 6.5 hour drive ain't that bad Quote
allison Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 I like that place, and could even do the drive tomorrow....but there's no more FRESHEIZZ at Mount Flatchelor than in our own neck of the Cascades....so ferget it! 'Course Dave is trolling, so let's keep it real, folks, and go to that loveable blue collar dive, the Ballard Alehouse, on Leary. I think I might even show up if they don't make me go back to work. Quote
Figger_Eight Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 The Alehouse is cool. It hasn't been there for awhile. Quote
mattp Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 I thought CJZ had a good idea in suggesting we try a dining establishment some time. Northlake Pizza isn't too far from Fremont or Ballard, and its right next to the Burke Gillman. How late is it open? Might Colin or any other sub-twentyoner's make an appearance if we did that? Quote
COL._Von_Spanker Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 (edited) Northlake get's my vote. Good bar and great pizza, some even say the best in seattle. Too bad pizza 'n' pipes isn't on 85th anymore... Edited February 10, 2003 by COL._Von_Spanker Quote

COL._Von_Spanker Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 Damn, that sux it's not all ages. We should go there anyway, or come up with another all ages drinking/dining venue (the 2 minors better show up) Quote
mattp Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 Of course, before we plan a pubclub around them we better see if they are interested. I posted an inquiry on Colin's thread but perhaps I'll delete it and send him a p.m. Quote
icegirl Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 Northlake gets my vote!!! Pizza ROCKS! Quote
chucK Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 (edited) Northlake is only open until 10pm on Tuesdays, thus I cannot support the choice of Northlake Pizza as Pub Club venue. I much prefer feeling like total shit on Wednesdays . Edited February 10, 2003 by chucK Quote
allison Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 Congratulations, people, you have just come full circle to my fab-o idea of Ballard Alehouse. Quote
COL._Von_Spanker Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 Sounds like the northlakes got too many strikes....Speaking of strikes, what about sunset bowl? So are we back to Ballard Alehouse? Quote
allison Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 Lordy, Pub Club Bowling sounds like a great ideer....let's do a little planning on that and find a place that doesn't have League or anything, make sure they are not too busy...sounds like a HOOT! Yes I think we should go to Ballard Alehouse, and I haven't picked where we go in, like, forever! Quote
chucK Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 The lovely Leilani Lanes in Greenwood Helmet optional Quote
COL._Von_Spanker Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 Does lelani lanes have a full bar? Quote
chucK Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 I dunno . The one time I was there they had signs advertising really cheap (less than superpremium) beer. I doubt bowling places are open very late either though (are they ) Quote
allison Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 Both of the bowling alleyz in Ballard have a full bar, and I dunno if either has anything good beerwise. They may or may not be open late enuf, and they may or may not have league....I think it's a great idea, but we must research and in my experience it really helps to reserve in advance..I know it sounds like a pain but the guys I work with do a big group of people bowling 1x/yr, and it takes a tiny bit of planning, or you won't end up bowling...and who wants to get stuck in the bar listening to Dwayner do 'I will Survive' on the karaoke....again? Quote
North_by_Northwest Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 Bowling sounds good. Alleys are usually open late (past 10 at least) and they have good cheap drinks. Rolling will allow us to do something other than discuss what's already been discussed a thousand times on this site too. Teams anyone? (I can throw strikes between 2 and 6 drinks.) Quote
wayne Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 I cant belive we are considering Lelani lanes. Its cool cuz it is right across the street from my place . They have a pub there, but probably not a full bar. Lets see if there is support for the first bowling PC? Quote
COL._Von_Spanker Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 After-party and slide show round-two wayne? Quote
AlpineK Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 A few people were talking about the Pyramid last week. Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted February 10, 2003 Author Posted February 10, 2003 I HATE BOWLING!!!! I will show anyway. We need to check the crowd situation. Pyramid or Balard ale house are fine with me. Quote
