Crackman Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 I'm trying to decide if it's going to pay off making the drive and approach to TC this weekend. Not very familiar with the area, in fact never been there yet, but my thinking is the route should be in shape with the recent warm days-cold nights. Any beta from those familiar with the route/area conditions would be appreciated. I'll probably go check it out anyway. Quote
Alex Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 I was thinking of going in there myself. Chances are pretty fair it will be in. If the ice that connects Hidden to Second is not there, you can always bypass it on the NF. Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 as long as freezing levels stay low when you go it should be worth taking the trip I think. Quote
Dru Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 or you might be able to make some money selling tickets, hot dogs and cold beer Quote
Off_White Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 Weather's not bad, even if you don't climb anything you could hardly go wrong getting out and about. It'd be a nice time of year for a first visit. Quote
Crackman Posted February 7, 2003 Author Posted February 7, 2003 Thanks for the encouragement - it pushed me off the fence. I'm getting packed and heading up there Fri am. We'll let you all know how it goes. Quote
texplorer Posted February 7, 2003 Posted February 7, 2003 Take lots of pics Crackman and give me the beta so I can go next weekend. I have been meaning to do that thing for a long time too but instead have been trying to climb country music singers routes out of season this year. Quote
wayne Posted February 8, 2003 Posted February 8, 2003 I think everyone should go there this weekend. Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted February 8, 2003 Posted February 8, 2003 I think everyone should go there this weekend. Â Me too Quote
Dumpster_Diver Posted February 8, 2003 Posted February 8, 2003 I think everyone should go there this weekend. Â Everyone should go to Snoqualmie and climb water ice. I hear it's all in there. Quote
texplorer Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 I don't know what your talking about, down here in Oregon is where all the sick ice is right now. Quote
Crackman Posted February 10, 2003 Author Posted February 10, 2003 We did it! The route and setting was fantastic. Couldn't have been better. I'll post a TR and some pics when I get a little more time. Quote
