Rad Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Holy crap. Darwin Award near miss. And taking a video of the whole thing?!?! Sketchy beyond words. Quote
ScaredSilly Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Watch the video carefully, the terrain is not very steep. He is dancing around with no hands and one foot in the ice. Not saying he would not go for a ride but ... best left to a North Face Professional for click bait. Quote
Off_White Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 Yes, the go-pro nausea cam wide angle perspective thing. I was wondering how he was standing around there while fussing with stuff, it couldn't be a vertical wall like the video makes it appear. Still, this is one from the list of things I expect to never have to do. Quote
olyclimber Posted March 5, 2018 Author Posted March 5, 2018 I've been just as scared of falling on low angle slab as vertical or overhanging. in fact, i think more so. i mean all three could be fatal, the last two just get it over quicker. Quote
JasonG Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 You're pretty much guaranteed to break both legs falling on low angle terrain with crampons. If you survive, it would make for a fun crawl until you slowly die of exposure.....all by yourself in the winter. No thanks. Quote
