A muscle in my left leg has been randomly spasming, or tic'ing or whatever you call it, for the last 2 days. What causes it and how do I get it to stop?

Dru - what were you doing prior? Running, lifting weights, hiking? I get this too, on occassion, and it is usually after a strenuous activity; leads me to believe that it is somewhat caused by minor trauma or stress to the joint capsule or attached tissues.

strange coincidence, mine also on left side and its just one muscle fiber just above the knee... i cantthink why, i am not calcium deficient, no longer dehydrated, and total exercise in last 2 weeks has consisted of walking and a 1 hour hike uphill in the rain...

the little muscle has been twiching since sunday night or monday am, even during the night when lying in bed and the leg is fully relaxed... maybe there is an alien implant i am unaware of...

I just ate some pie and it stopped. "damn fine coffee" is probably to blame causing dehydration

Not that anyone gives a shit, I'm sure, but here in yank-land it's called serviceberry (the generic name for any Amelanchier genus shrub).

I get the twitches every so often. I was told that its a potassium deficiency. Bananas are supposed to help.

Seemed to work. But I am not a doctor, I just play one on As the World Turns.
