  1. What about the other stuff I was askin' ya? Are you gonna try to make this a sort of an ejumacational trip for the rugrats, too?
  2. cc.com is once again replete with low-brow humor...
  3. Relax, it's a cc.com phenomenon... did I spell that right...?
  4. VDA is rawkin! I love that place. Food's great, too. But judging by the amount of steep waterfalls around the valley, I'd think it'd be more of a winter paradise for an ice climber. PS: Valle d'Aosta is the Italian spelling PPS: You draggin' the younglings, too? How old are they, if you are taking them? Splitting your time between the south of France and northern/north central Italy would be an awesome way to get in some great climbing, fabulous scenery, righteous history, and see cool things that the kids may (or may not) appreciate some day. My wife and I are planning a 'return sabbatical' of sorts when the kids hit about 5 and 7 yoa. Taking 3 or 4 months off, gonna rent a villa with a car in S France and N Italy, and live la dolce vita for a couple of months in each country. It's our way of compromising... my wife loves France, I grew up in Italy (it's not her fault she likes France...). Ciao, baby!
  5. 'braggart' And don't give me any of that ///ex-spell check chick shit, neither.
  6. Never said I took that much shite with me anywhere. I just said I have that much invested in this shite sport.
  7. South of France. Stay in Cassis. Walk to Les Calanques. Gaston Rebuffat would be proud of you. Cool limestone fiords to swim/sun yourself apres climb. Lots of half-baked, half-clad college beauties, too... We did it, *before* we got hitched up.
  8. Leave country: French/Italian Alps Dolomites Bernese Oberland New Zealand Stay in USA/NA: Yosemite/Tuolomme/Tahquitz Sierras Wind Rivers Front Range CO Tetons Bitteroots El Potrero Chico What happened, Rudy? Get busted spraying too much and lose yer job?
  9. I'm titillating at the thought... so stop it! well, maybe don't stop...
  10. How much is your rack worth to you? If I assess just my climbing/mountaineering/ice climbing gear, I can easily reach $10k in replacement costs (my coverage is for full replacement value). That's not including my downhill and tele ski shit, road bikes, kayaks, etc. For me, $1000 would be a pretty cheap buy-in towards replacement. Just sayin'...
  11. Quite true. Again, quite true. Insurance (homeowner's/renter's/personal articles) is practically worthless without documentation.
  12. My Trango lived for about 18 months after his initial CRF diagnosis. I almost gave up climbing (as you've heard carolyn allude to) for that time, because I just didn't trust anyone else to keep up on his medication regimen. LRS subQs 3x/day, meds, special foods, treats, etc. Still, I wouldn't have done it any other way. Trango was very kind to me in the way he passed out of this world, as I didn't have to stress out on "which day was the day" to put him down. He chose his own time and manner, and it didn't become apparent until the following morning. A few here on this board know that story...
  13. Soon to vanish! I just started shaving my legs and using this miracle cellulite-reducing cream on my butt. You are not in my league...
  14. Ahhh yes, truer words have never been spoken. Great job helping out when the cause presents, Joseph! Cheers!
  15. There is no way that you're runty little body could ever outshine my heavenly example of rotundity in a baby doll T. No way at all.
  16. Happy Brithday, carolyn, and thanks for the Latte Update. You see now what I was talking about with you many months ago... you will never regret this time with Latte, no matter how much climbing you have to give up. She has a wonderful mommy. I got your email last week. I'll get a *real* message out to you soon.
  17. Archie goes commando? W00h00, I'm really in love now!
  18. Whatever sobo we know you go home and squeeze yourself into a Hooters uniform after work and make chicken wings for dinner. I am soooooo busted... (pun intended??)
  19. What's the baby doll style look like? I might want one. For a friend, of course... really...
  20. No, we could all just bring our laptops and spray at each other in the same room.
  21. The ol' flies and honey vs. vinegar trick. Good words.
