profound muffy but you missed my point. there is much talk here but little action. i used my personal view and how i relate to the upcoming conflict to express my point. certainly we all may die tommorow or even right. but going after rhetoric for a little substantiated personal issue is no reason to send others into war. i read all this stuff that people are posting and wonder where they're real values are? i have met many people from this site and hold respect for everyone of them., but in reading this i just wonder.

i kinda find it weird that sooo many people(myself included) who have never seen combat let alone a true confrontation can hold soo many aggressive ideals. i at one time thought that war was a neccesay way to acheive objectives and that may be true. but they are only objectives. the politcal cheastbeating that transpires here is sometimes so fucking childish that it truley mimics some filabuster put on by the good ole' boys club. the only thing war acheives is short term glory and gains and a huge loss of life. wheter it be the "enemy" or the good guys. there is more then one or two sides of this issue. but the overzealous and sometimes sickening beats on the war drum that speaw from these threads is unbelieveable. we are all entitiled to our opinions, but your opinion in my eyes is not valid if it is tainted with "fuckwad" "you pussy" "peice of shit asshole" these are the words of people with no point, these are the words of people who have no words. my brother is over there in the middle east and has the possibilty of dying. even though i have never much got along with my family, do you think i would even want him involved in this bullshit ego trip? fuck no!! it truly worries me that he may be killed or injured. maybe most of you have less to lose in this conflict outside of some personal comforts and gas prices. use your brain, and consider yourself ready for action.

No, not whatever : History and consensus will show that bolt ladders are rated A0 and slotting nuts in pin scars would get a C rating. I agree with your opinion, however. link to history text please!! bolt ladders are a1 for fa'ers and clean for everyone else.... bolt ladders also should be kept in perfect condition as well, they are meant to link features and not to add to the route. now in what style the fa'er uses that is debatable.

cracked, how has the arrival of sport climbing threatend trad climbing?? i would love if more people sport climbed and didnt frequent the places i enjoy to go. but that is neither really here or there. i really find is hysterically funny how people feel the need to seperate themselves in the sport. trad vs bolts or whatever...i could care less. i look at sport climbing as a way to improve strength and conditioning for trad climbing, grated i rarely sport climb and that is possibly why i suck.... i used to share dwyaners stoic ideals of pure traditionalism and in most ways still do cry "respect the rock" but with rational thinking and a more borad view of reality, i have found that it is a equalibriam. certainly the apperance of bolts has made the sport more asseciable, but is that bad? yes with crowding issues(broad statement(including impact blah blah blah)), but from any other stand point no. i think it is selfish and out right a waste of time and effort to say one aspect of the sport is more worthy then any other. bolts have allowed me to use some amazing features and ascend some very intreguing and entertaing walls. and in topic, this weekend i was chatting it up with some non-climber spectators at the lower town and i queried them about the bolts and other impacts. they both state that the webbing was worse, and that the bolts mean little to them. places like exit 38, 32 and vantage might not be the best climbing, nor the best rock, but they serve a purpose and that purpose is recreation. and that is what climbing is, recreation. there are a few whom actually live by climbing, and they are lucky. though in some ways missing out on many other aspects of life. but who knows??? i think the people who talk the most shit about bolts are the ones, whom maybe have something lingering with them. they are the ones with the issue. but leave bolting in bolting area, follow the ethic(yes they do evolve) of an area. and climb in the best stlye that you know how too.... sport climbing forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 trad climbing forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! alpine climbing forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bouldering forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 ice climbing forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i guess mtneering forever too!
