    Hang Boards

if you find hangboards unbelievably boring, try holding your weights isotonically in different positions to mix up your weight training (i.e. just hold the weight in one place and count to 30). the only thing you can't do is isolate specific fingers, which for me is good, cuz i'd hurt myself if i tried to do that. a good ice screw training system is to grease up a locked doornob, and try to open it hanging off one arm with someone pointing a loaded gun to your head...in case you were wondering.
  3. I sharpied my name on all my slings and cams so it must be ok. i didn't see the nylon melt or hear any sizzling or see any smoke and i've whipped onto em lots since.

  10. Hey Jim! Hope that didn't piss you off. as you can see (with over 2k in posts) I have nothing better to do with my "spare time" but bust ballz on the internet.
  11. cool beans! Let me revise my request though: anyone not got a partner and not in the northeast part of the country want to go to smith on saturday?
  12. proprioceptive training is not stregnth training and should only be done sub-acute. I find the PT's try to push too soon on the weight
  13. so buy my crap then
  14. i need a partner for smith this saturday, preferably trad anyone?

  17. thanks for the heads up. i find that rumors of things being in are just 3rd hand lies. like last year i kept hearing mixed master was in fat, yet it contained no ice at all and no one had done it.
  18. when is this normally climbable by, i never hear of anyone doing it, but of course, i wanna. i don't think you'd enjoy urs hole or ariel spurt except as a good day out in the hillz.
  19. just remember if your climb is planned on SPECIFIC dates, bring rock gear if the weather is bad and go to smith instead of forcing the route.
  20. kids falls, a bridge to far, R&D, moonlight/snowline are all fun and could be in. I'd like to try whiteman and redman soars (in?). Also i've never heard of anyone doing, but parallel falls, cabrio, centaur, and imaginary goat look fun and early season.
  21. i bet it's in, and bet someone climbed it this w/end
  22. The ice iz gettin thinner and wetter wit the warming trend. nice job btw.
