  1. LMAO, DFA! Don't forge the part about how hikers always get their proper permits, and climbers are too good for that! Climbing is exciting, climbers like adventure; like getting in a fight with the man cause you don't have a permit. Hikers are boring and scared of stepping out of line. Hikers that think they are climbers are pathetic.
  2. I've skied at Beaver Creek....skip it. Vail....mostly bullshit. A Basin rules Aspen mountain is good Sunlight, near Glenwood Springs might be good though I've never been there. Be warned though, CO has been having a dry warm winter. All the areas may suck. Also CO snow base is always low. I would think seriously about renting skis instead of trashing your own set. I think A Basin would be your best bet. Polli lift rules.
  3. Hmm Relentless? Seeing as I've spent about 1.5 miniutes on the subject I would hate to see what would happen if I put some real effort into it.
  4. I think Allison could be charged with impersonating a climber.
  5. Dude, word on the street is that chix don't dig the desperate approach. Try to play it cool, bro.
  6. Well, this ain't New Orleans, now is it? Yeah and that's why Josh upped the # of bead strings.
  7. how true that is... happy FAT TUESDAY Hmm...if I bring beads...will I get to see boobies? They have to be some pretty damn special beads. In New Orleans a couple years ago the going rate was one string of beads for a flash. They weren't special beads either
  8. On Dexter Ave where it crosses Hayes on the east slope of QA hill.
  9. I think since there doesn't seem to be much debate today that D&H is where Pub Club is at this week.

    Grades?

I don't agree. I've always considered the overall grade to take into account the day of the climb but not the whole trip.
  11. I'll have to agree with the Col. about coming up with a Pub Club scheme. I think noon is fine as a cut off.
  12. In fact maybe you should encourage her to buy lots of gear and then, "borrow," it when she quits.
  13. I've stayed at the Mounties Baker Lodge. It's a nice place, but like Tim said no drinking.
  14. I get the models confused. Like Fern said for the standard dynafit bindings. The new model dynafit has some problems with releasing while doing kick turns. Last ski season they shipped them all back to Dynafit. I don't know if they have fixed the problem.
  15. That makes me so sad thinking about poor Tex moping at home cause he has a stick up his ass about skiing. Here's to Freshiez.
  16. Unless there's a lot of new snow the surface will be icy and hard to skin up without ski crampons. There's some snow in the slots; we had to snake through the upper glacier. From what I remember of the Eldorado glacier you shouldn't have too much trouble.

  18. I rest my case about your attitude.
  19. Now who has the bad attitude? Grumpy Grumpy Grumpy
  20. Bad Attitude? My attitude is just fine. I see nothing wrong with being against, "calling," Pub Club a week in advance. I also don't see anything wrong with bringing up an alternative. D&H is winning right now, but its not over till tomorrow pm. If you had really read my posts you would find that I'm fine with either spot.
  21. Thanks Erik! The D&H works, however a Pub Club location in Montlake would be an excellent addition to our list due to easy access from the eastside. There you have it, tried and true vs new spot that could be pretty good.
  22. Yeah I don't like to jinx myself
  23. umm Michelle take out a map of Seattle. Wedgewood and Montlake are two different neighborhoods that are not next to each other.
  24. I don't think calling a Pub Club a week in advance is quite proper. Every week is a new fight. It's important to stay focused.
