As long as you make an effort to speak french you'll probably be ok. I liked it since I had a few years of french in high school, so it was kind of an adventure just trying to remember stuff you learned a long time ago. 10 min gondola ride above town.

I'm in full time training. Right now I'm working my way through the 12 ouncers in the fridge one at a time. The 40 ouncer is still sitting there, but I may have to hold back on that for a bit. Fuck I need to get to the store and get me a Sparks.

Kevbone I think part of your problem is you need to get out and go climbing now and not just sit around and mope on the internet. I have a number of friends who are married with kids and yet they still get out to climb. Sure they don't get out all the time, but they do get out. I bet your attitude would get better if you got out some.

On a side note: I have one grandmother named Daisy on my father's side of the family. On my mother's side of the family my grandmother's name was Pansy Neither of them smoked though. Pansy did blast crows out of the cherry tree with a shotgun. I don't think Daisy ever got the chance since that kind of behavior is frowned on in Seattle.

I've got 3 beers and a giant bottle of Green Death (Rainier Ale) that have been sitting in my fridge for over a year. The Green Death is technically in one bottle, but I think I'd be breaking the spirit of the rules my doctor gave me for beer drinking. :brew:

If you want to live in a big city Grenoble looked like a good choice.

I've been in both Verbier and Zermatt. Those places are fanfuckingtastic. Skiing/Ski Mountaineering kick ass from personal experience. Alpine climbing looks great. La Grave might have those 2 places beat for alpine rock climbing, but I may not know everything about those 2 areas.

Doctors are always saying stuff like that. Next they'll tell you that smoking is bad for you or that you should wear a helmet when riding a motorcycle. I'm sure Robby Knievel wouldn't stand for rules like that.

It was an IPA. I'm a big fan of that kind of beer. It was a Wildcat made by the Snoqualmie brewery.

Ok well I'm not really drunk, but I did go out and have my first beer in almost exactly one year. I got the go ahead from the doctors today, so I got a friend to take me out to the Wedgewood Ale House for a drink. :moondance: They told me to keep it to one drink a day, but I'm pretty god damn happy. The next thing you know I'll be driving.

I think my parents still have them, but I had a pair of ski boots about that size. They were leather too; there was none of those fancy pants plastic ski boots back then.

I've been watching that meter on my scale and I'm at 18% which is just fine as far as I can tell. I think I'd have to be over 22% to have problems.

After slacking all yesterday but running stairs this morning I'm at 209 lbs That's down 11 lbs from 5/1 or down 7.5 lbs from the contest start.

Back a few years ago somebody climbed the Third Flatiron in Boulder in roller blades. I don't know if that's good or bad, but it's been done.
