I've used my megamid (the older model, not made out of the super lightweight siltarp stuff) in inclement weather on dirt. Its fine as long as the winds not raging. I've heard stories about people breaking the pole that it comes with but mine is as beefy as a table leg. The mid is awesome for snow camping when you don't want to bring a tent. Ski pole can function as the center pole.

I worked on litigation involving a nail gun manufacturer. A guy was descending a ladder with a nail gun in his hand and the trigger depressed. he accidentally bounced it on his knee causing the gun to fire a nail into his kneecap. Apparently some nail guns use nails that have a specil coating on them to ease insertion into the wood. This stuff is pretty toxic and did some serious bone damage to his kneecap.

Terrorism will likely occur and continue to occur regardless of the outcome in the Middle East but this is hardly an invasion. I'll agree that the mistake made was taking pictures. Documenting this travesty was flat out stupid and if anything they should be punished for their stupidity that reflects so poorly on the country they are sworn to defend.
