Is this "professional" massage or Professional massage? My neck is killing me.

Can't speak to Canadian customs but U.S. Customs can/will toss your bootius maximus in jail and/or fine you for having paraphenalia if there are trace amounts of illegal substances detectable on it. Buddy of mine got busted coming back from mexico with a pipe and it cost him $500 clams and a day in the slammer.

I used Talkeetna Air Taxi in '99 and felt they were ok. They were more focused on flying the tourons around the mountain then in dropping off us dirtbags or picking us back up. Just trying to swing a buck or two but the way I see it I paid my money and should have had some priority--but we're a captive audience and the tourons aren't. Paul is a decent fellow and a climber to boot. Beckey used TAT when we were there, in case this matters to you at all. While waiting at Kahiltna International Airport to be picked up by TAT, Jay Hudson felt sorry for us and gave us a ride back to Talkeetna. For that I promised if I ever returned I would use him. Last year (2002) we used Hudson and he was the best. Didn't have to wait more than a couple hours coming or going. I'd recommend him to anyone and if going back he would continue to get my business. We paid in advance both times. Personally, I would avoid using K2 because they have a contract with the Princess Cruise line and are trying to edge out the smaller guys. Go with Geeting, TAT or Hudson and I am sure you can't go wrong. TAT might need the business more since they lost a plane last year (crash) Hope this helps

Then you'll agree, of course, that Rush pretty much sums up the Republican perspective.

Where are you located? I might be interested.

Forego the solid form and head straight for the apple schnapps. Mass quantities were consumed whilst living in Deutschland. Mmmm. . good. Added benefit of avoiding that whole poor-design thing.

I hear it won't be until this fall that this stuff is available on the civilian market.

Just got the recent issue of Climbing (wife subscribed as a present, not that I would waste my money on it) and included with it was a Climb High catalog. Buried within said catalog was a picture of our own Forest. Hey Forest--if I send you a copy can I get it autographed?

I love ewe.

I've presented my passport and ID card every time I have crossed the border. On at least one occasion (last thanksgiving) I personally watched as the guard ran a check on me on the NCIC database. For some reason I didn't raise any red flags in spite of my checkered past.

Freeclimb-- I know of someone here in Portland who enjoys taking on the big monoliths for trademark infringement for the fun of it. If you want I can hook you up with him and you can see what he has to say. PM me if you are interested.

Not necessarily true. I've been to Canada about a dozen times no problems and have yet to be hassled at the border either coming or going. And I am hardly an angel. Maybe after this trespassing charge I will though.

I believe Chris Harmston was the one who did the testing. I agree with your memory of this testing.

I would ask the offending party if they minded you and your partner leading through the climb really quickly. I would point out that you had been waiting and won't be long. If they get pissy about it I'd move on. Its really not worth it to get into a pissing contest when you are climbing. Its supposed to be fun right?

My oil needs changed. Trask?

Branford Marsalis, "I heard you twice the first time" Supersuckers on deck. Gotta have balance.

Something someone hasn't mentioned is hooks. Although not typically a beginning aid technique, once you get comfy high-stepping a hook everything else seems pretty chilled in comparison. Seriously--its almost an epiphany when you shift your weight over on that hook and see it holds. I fell on a hook and it held--now that was a clencher! Also, when testing pieces be sure not to look at them--especially if you are setting them at eye level, which as Bug suggested is a good idea when starting out. If that piece pops while you're bounce-testing it and you are looking at it you stand a chance of catching it in the eye. Turn your head. Some people really like to reef on those placements when they bounce test. I generally give it a few sharp tugs then ease my weight over. Bounce-testing a nut can make cleaning that bad boy a real PITA for the follower. Have fun!

My condolances to his family and thanks to the SAR folks for all their hard work and the risks they took in trying to find this fellow.

Just finished reading the article in the Oregonian about this event. Seems TG is racking up the praise! Good job to Steve and his partner. Wish I could be there.

Thats incorrect. Americans are most certainly viewed with a different eye than Canadians in Europe, as well as the middle east. I know this from personal experience. Try an experiment: go to France (or anywhere else in europe) with a backpack that has a Canadian flag patch sewn on it. Then do the same thing with an american flag. Note the results. For a more dramatic experiment repeat the above in Egypt. Lather, rinse, repeat.

That was truly stupid, yet funny. The tongue thing was oddly disturbing. Apparently Shaq has not a shred of dignity left.
