  1. true... i'll give a shout for chimay grand reserve. another one i forgot on my list. that's some good stuff! trappist monks can't be wrong.
  2. holy shit! decisions, decisions - i could be typing for an hour. light - harp lager medium - fat tire, alaskan amber dark - red hook double black stout, guinness ghetto - icehouse or good ol' lucky lager stubbies (40 oz works too!)
  3. i think we may have a contender here for that elusive 55 page topic!
  4. might be of use... http://www.boiseclimbs.com/other_areas.htm

  6. you bet! i'm married. it's guaranteed.
  7. cat in the hat is fun, 5.7 and 5 pitches, but it's also punter central. get there EARLY or wait in line and be amazed at the chaos. the first time i climbed that route, it was blowing 30+ mph and threatening rain. there was only one party, behind us. it was a good outing. the other time i climbed it, it was sunny and nice, and i experienced some of the worst clusterfucks ever. it was truly frightening... however, the approach is fairly short and easy. cheers.
  8. i'm not vagrant or stinky, but i'm a cracker and i'll be so, if you see some drunk-ass guy in a black north face down jacket stumbling around the campground, or falling off something at classic crack, it'll probably be me...
  9. i'll be there saturday/sunday for octoberfest. i'll be camping, most likely at eight mile. if you find me, cold will be your reward.
  10. quote: Originally posted by mattp: You didn't ask this question, but if you want a slightly shorter hike to larch trees and views of granite peaks, Colchuch Lake would be a good choice. thanks mattp! we'll have somewhat limited time, so that may be a better option this time around.
  11. thanks everyone. if we head up there, we'll most likely continue to snow lake or lake viviane. i just used nada lake as a point of reference for how long it would take to get past all the 'lowlands' and to some 'alpine' terrain. cheers,
  12. what's the approximate mileage/time for an average person (not a sloth, but not a speed hiker) to hike from the snow creek trailhead to nada lake. i'd be carrying a small day hiking pack (5 - 8 lbs) at most. i'm looking to possibly head up there with some friends for a day hike, and would just like to know what to expect with regards to mileage/time. thanks!
  13. go, cc.com! offwidthclimber, member #64

I'll either kill him in his tent or drown him when he pisses me off by "climbing" underwater. i think you'll do just fine around here...
  15. i spray harder than 2% of cascadeclimbers. guaranteed, or you get your bandwidth back.
  16. cheers, mattp and all the rest!
  17. ladies and gentlemen, please give a hand for bill nye the science guy! thanks for the commentary... sheesh. here's the only full moon you'll be seeing, sargent rock!
  18. looks like the south sis is not alone... durango snowbird
  19. RURP, i'll agree that the US govt may have slipped up. regardless, a lot of these guys are well educated, skilled with computers and technology and capable of fucking shit up. all the more reason for americans to grab their HC's, rise to the challenge and beat terrorists.
  20. quote: Originally posted by RURP: This is RURP: Do you really think this 9-11 conspirator/horse's ass could even graduate from elementary school???? He looks like he's half-stoned, half-asleep and half-witted like his terrorist colleagues! RURP has spoken. uh, obviously he and his cronies were smart enough to slip past the entire US intelligence community, not to mention airport security, immigration and other various federal agencies, resulting in the worst terrorist attacks on US soil. that's the problem... many of the 'new school' terrorists aren't just dumb-ass suicide bombing jethros. many are educated enough to be that much more deadly than their more simple, thuggish predecesors. regardless... they ought to beat that fucker to death with 2 feet of horsecock!
