  7. About concerns for your liners getting wet, I hear it's so dry on the upper mountain that anything dries (sublimation...I think) even though it's -umpteen degrees. Carry an extra liner and over sock in a ziplock just for summit day though.

  15. My first time skiing when I was 5 my dad took my brother sister and I into the backcountry just off a local ski hill. when we stopped for lunch I took off my skiis and was walking around when I went into a well up to my neck. I stopped myself with my arms but could feel the snow giving. My dad thought it was soooooo funny
  16. I'm just wondering what the the standard etiqette is on dry tooling at local crags? Is it frowned upon? Will people TRY to kick my ass? Anybody know any areas in Squamish where one can do it?
  17. Keeping it simple makes sence. I'm not so good at placing pro (I started leading last summer) which is one of the main reasons I want to aid.
  18. So today I spent the rest of my student loan and bought some more gear for my bare bones rack . The Squamish forecast is for rain and i'm ready to introduce myself to some aid climbing misery on solo top rope. does anyone have some tips that they found particularly helpfull when they started aid climbing? I just want to cut the learning curve as much as possible, if there even is a learning curve with aid
