  3. She did not want much money she just wanted to put the gear to good use instead of having it collect dust. I got a set of Charlet Moser axes, 3 ice screws, 2 deadman, and pitons for $90CDN. Too bad about why she is getting rid of it
  4. There is nothing ironic about that

The Gap's clothing is for wannabe outdoor enthusiasts...or sorority girls looking for just the right type of flashy gear to stand out on campus. Other than that, I have no problem with your thankful post, Jman. I'd do the same, perhaps, if something sentimental to me was lost. In fact, it has happened to me...even recently....very, very recently.
  6. Ultimate High by Goran Kropp. His story of biking to Everest, climbing it and biking home; alll carrying his own gear and food. Anybody who can sit in the bike saddle for 6 months and still walk, let-alone climb, must be pretty boss.
  7. Where does Dru get all the odd "instant graemlins" from?

Put duct tape on one side of the hole and spread seam glue on the othe. when the seam glue dries take off the tapeand voila! good as new. I've used it on gore-tex pants, boots, bivy sacs, booties. I'd be lost without it.
  9. How come i'm only "on belay".
  10. Why is it that my bivy sack is ALWAYS wet when I sleep on snow, Even when It's seam sealed? Is this Normal? I didn't pay for that to happen
  11. If skiing up a snow covered glacier in winter (that could possably yield an avalanche but also has snow covered crevasses) is it better to rope up or not?
  12. Sorry about that,I had already posted the second guess before I read your reply.
  13. Possably Alouette or Needle Peak
  14. Edge Peak in Golden Ears Park
  15. Just came back from a weekend around diamond head. If you took your skis off you would sink in about 2-3 feet and with about .5-1 foot. Trail breaking is anywhere from 5-15 kilometers depending on elevation.
