Ok, that would be pretty ridiculous, considering all the other stuff they don't bother plowing (like highway 410 beyond Crystal mtn turnoff, Mtn Loop highway to barlow pass, etc....)

They're keeping a road to the top of Pilchuck plowed all winter????

Is there any good climbing in that hidden diagonal gully? Looks cool... whats in it?

But now that we know.... There are a bunch of peaks further west along the ridgeline from Tatlow that have nice ice - and probably don't have the same "restriction" as Tatlow. Don, do you know if any of these north faces have been climbed?

The highway is plowed to just outside of Mazama on the east side (~7 miles east of Silver Star ck), and to the Ross lake overlook on the west side (MP 134?). Or so they say, I haven't been up there.The green trails maps have the closure locations marked. Although the east side *used* to be plowed to Silver Star Ck, but not anymore. Hmmm... don't they usually plow it to Barlow Pass from the west side? They did in the past two winters. Maybe they just haven't gotten around to it yet?

Only 80 inches? Mt Baker claims nearly 9 feet (108 inches) since opening day (11 days ago) with 97 inches on the ground...And Crystal mountain has received 134 inches since Nov 25...

Hey, you know what, last year wasn't bad for skiing either. The Cascades already get more than enough snow, and the lack of precip last year actually made for a lot of nice powder days, since when it gets warm and wet, it ruins the snow, but when it stays dry (and warm), the powder lingers on the north slopes... lets pray for no snow!
