If you've haven't spent much time going from sea level to altitude it's highly advisable to make a couple trips to Muir and even go do Adams as a warmup to get a handle on how quickly you acclimatize. You can be in the best shape in the world and acclimatize like shit, and there is no rhyme or reason to it, you just have to find out for yourself.

I wanted to post a few comments about searching that will hopefully help you as well as help us. With over 9 years worth of posts in our database it has become very big, and consequently requires more resources to search. We are seeing an ever increasing (and costly) load on our server. To help you search more effectively and quickly we've done a few things as well below offering a couple suggestions. There have been some complaints about our search function, but it's actually surprisingly very good when you need to search a specific date range or posts by a specific user. This search function will improve dramatically in our next version from my understanding. 1. Start your search with the new google search bar on the search page. Google is very fast and it's a good way to start your search. It also takes the load off our server. Start with a broad search and then add more keywords to narrow in on what you are looking for. Use advanced search functions for the most powerful and accurate search. 2. If Google search will not find specifically what you are looking for then move to our search. If you looking for a TR use the TR Search Function. Start your search using narrow criteria and then broaden. DO NOT search 10 years on your first search. Use the advance searching options will greatly increase your chances of finding what you are looking for. Advanced Search Tips Use +keyword for required keywords. Use -keyword to exclude posts with a keyword. Use quotes around a phrase to search for a phrase. Use a * at the end of the word to match partial words.

We have gotten rid of the google ads after the first post, we were doing that as a little experiment. Over the next couple months we will be doing gradual upgrades and rolling out some new stuff so if anyone experiences any wonkiness let us know.

You can't get caught up thinking this person being a secretary doing their nails and chatting on the phone all day making over $100k. This person could likely be an experienced paralegal. DSHS is a very poor department, nobody there is getting rich working there. It's not uncommon for someone not to meet qualifications because of education etc for a particular job category so they will put them in a different classification and pay them on the high end of the pay scale. So what you are saying is that 20% of people should suffer because "they don't deserve" healthcare so that .1% of 80% who need expensive procedures can get them?

It would be cool if everyone knew what they were talking about. The only huge flaw in the Canadian system that I know of is that any type of therapeutics for cancer or autoimmune disease, that can be in upwards of $50k for a full treatment, are not covered under their basic plan as opposed to something like a life saving heart procedure. Both are live saving, both are expensive, but because one is a drug it's not covered. In those instances the Canadian system is no better.
