I heard there were North Face Sponsored climbers up at Muir, smoking dope in the Hut, then grid bolting everything in site, leaving day-glo quick-draws, all while wearing spandex and using steaksauce in place of sunscreen. Fucking conservative liberals!

Wasn't there a follow where Stewart says to Carlson something like "I'll give you credit for at least being smart enough to tie it?"
-
Yep, I used to think Dennis Miller was funny until he became a Monkey for the Republican party. I guess the difference between a conservative and a liberal comedian is that a liberal will make fun of the other party AND themselves, the conservative will try to get laughs by bashing the other side.

dumber than the fucking president

A friend of mine sent that out last weekend. It was by far the best 13 minutes I spent doing anything last weekend.

I happen to think a woman in a clibimg harness & climbing shoes is 10x sexier than a woman in a mini skirt & pumps!

I would like to hope that Bush doesn't have a chance. You mention that the get out the vote push hasn't been backed by the conservatives. It seems to me there was some recent controversy regarding churches using their recources to back a get out the vote initiative. That being said, I may be biased but while both parties have had their share of inaccuracies, Bush has made himself look absolutely foolish. In the days following 9/11 when he appeard to be speaking from the heart, Bush actually came a cross as a pretty effective leader. However, when he's spouting the rhetoric of the machine that put him in office, it's pretty apparent that he has no idea what the fuck he's talking about.

I can see how one could make the tie. If things like this become more than localized incidents (like the break-in at the Bush Campaign offices a couple of weeks ago), then I agree it would be wise for John Kerry to denounce these types of acts. Interesting that the diviciveness of this campaing has brought forward the Is that the old "if you ain't fer us, yer agin us" mentality; and yes, I admit I'm the one who brought it up.
-
Excuse me? Where, pray tell, in either article did it claim that the individuals reponsible for the malfeasance were Kerry Supporters. Is that the old "if you ain't fer us, yer agin us" mentality?

He's not Doug, I'm him. I consider myself a moderate too, but I like coming off as a liberal because their is nothing funnier than goading a right winger all the way to......BANNED CAMP!!!!

This place has been strangely void of conservatives for the past couple of days. Maybe we will see a new website soon; conservativecascadeclimbers.com. They will ban anyone leaning to the left.... I miss his wit. GregW, please come back!

Ya know, I've gotta admit if I had to make a choice between Edwards or Cheney as VP, I'd lean towards Cheney. That being said, on a scale of 1 to 10: Cheney 8, Edwards 6; Kerry 7, Bush 4. Kerry & Edwards win, 13 to 12.
-
I must admit that when Edwards played the gay daughter card, I felt somewhat repulsed, but hey all is fair in politics, love and war. Still, no one won. And the facts and distortions are as present as ever on both sides.
-
So far, IMO, it's pretty even. They are both pretty good. I do notice that Edwards refers back to last Thursday's debate and Cheney seems to be staying off of that one. He did look uncomfortable when the talk turned to his daughter. I think they both handled it pretty well.

Huh? So, let me get this straight: you are completely discrediting this story simply due to the fact that it was reported on a Republican radio host's show? This guy that called up was a liar? This is how you judge truth? That's fucked up. Don't like the source, must be untrue? Tell me you're joking. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. You fucking people are hopeless if that's all the "proof" you need to debunk a story. A fucking joke. I don't know why I stick around, except for the mere reason that there should be an opposing viewpoint. That seems hopeless, though. Not at all. Let me get this straight. It wasn't a "news story", but an anecdotal call to a talk show. What I'm saying is that it is , in my opinion, is no more newsworthy than any other road rage incident, politically motivated or not. Do I condone it? No. Do I think it is representative of "Liberal Politics?" Not at all. But, I suspect that the caller to Carlson's show was trying to pass it off as that. P.S., nice PM. Thank you for sharing.
