Last I heard the road (2060) to Exfo, green giant and three o'clock is in bad shape and there will be some substantial increase in the amount of approach. 75 degrees on nice white granite slabs can be an oven but I like it!

Nice work Matt!

We work for our suds: Step 1) Everyone carries a minimum of 6 beers (@ least 6oz preferably 22oz) Step 2) Only good (high test) quality beer. Step 3) ONE trail beer. Step 4) Climb as hard as you can for as long as possible. Being an old fat man that is usual taken care of in short order. Step 5) Drink all beer in continous succession until you sleep so hard that Thors hammer (partners snoring) itself will not wake you from your slumbers.

kinda, trying out the new point and shoot with all the funkadelic settings.

I only counted my own beers. And I only counted liquids.

It was fun indeed. The weather was way better than I expected. The 6th photo? I was drunk and shooting from bed.

Trip: Index - Date: 2/25/2012 Trip Report: Headed out to do some aid cragging over the weekend and hang out with a couple of buddies. I do not know what the route is except sportos can crank it and it is way too hard for me to climb without aid, and a lot of it. This was fun practice for an aid noob like myself to have bolts right there to protect me and allow me to experiment with placements. Here are some pics: RF Says "I dunno about MRE omelettes" The Line Gear Notes: I brought a ton. 6 pack of beer. Approach Notes: Left the lower town wall on a trail leaving Ultrabrutal and headed steeply up and right.

FS called me today for more details. Really nice folks. Said this was the first report of Sleds in that area. FS also said they are going to put more signs at the entrance to the valley/meadows from the old road grade side and patrol the start point off Beckler more often to educate those who recreate.

Good advice on the first point. The second has gotten me in trouble in the past.

Not much one can do about that, except maybe vandalize their snow machines while the riders are out skiing. The asshole in me wanted to pull the fuel lines off while they were out skiing so they could enjoy the walk out but what good would that have done anyone?

ya know, if they would have had the decency to have stopped and chatted or preferably offered me a beer or something, then we could have had a friendly discourse. I just thought the guilty look and the half assed courtesy waves seemed a little cavalier and yeah the high speed run by did not win any points on this end. I have been around and passed by several snowmobiles in other areas and don't really give a hoot. Mater of fact I have passed peds on snowmobiles and gave them as wide of berth as the road allowed and did not feel guilty or out of place one bit. The point of my post was simply vent a little and maybe get some other peoples opinions. One thing seeing that display did for me is make me re-think the work I have done with a hand drill in the wilderness when I guess I could have just as easily brought my HILTI.
