In Leavenworth we often get some very nice up the Icicle Road, Tumwater Canyon, etc. with only a 2.5+ hour drive.

Rob, A similiar thing happened about 15 years ago when I signed up for a visa debit card. The card didn't come for about 2 weeks and then I recieved a notice that my account was overdrawn. WTF - I had 1,200+ dollars in there. Come to find out some bank teller had rerouted some cards to a PO Box number and drained a number of other accounts. Meanwhile, I insisted that they temporarily redeposit half as the transactions were all in Portland area and I had documentation I was in Seattle the whole time. Long story short - within 1 month I had all my money and they credited all the overdraft fees. Suggestion, be polite but chew their butts with consistent calls, etc. and work with one or at the most two individuals on it. Good luck!

You can't get proper Zubrowka here anyway... something about the grass in the bottle being a plant, therefore you can't bring it in. Of course how something that's been soaking in vodka for months would harbor anything living is beyond me. Maybe I just need to harvest some bison grass seeds next time I'm visiting Poland, plant them in my garden and then I can have all the Zubrowka I want. BTW, if you like Zubrowka, try mixing it with apple juice... makes for a fantastic drink we Poles call the "szarlotka" (loosely translates to "apple pie"). Luksusowa is OK. I have some bad experiences with Luksusowa from my college years, so I keep away from it. Chopin is much nicer. And yeah, KKK, Belvedere has a pretty bottle but the contents aren't as good as they should be. Chopin is very good but $$$. I grew up with parents that enjoyed wines - mostly whites and some reds, so I can definitely suck down a bottle of good vino.

I'm pretty sure the trout in the icicle will take absolutely any fly you drift their way. I saw a few folks fishing above the road closure on my way to ida lake saturday. Looked like some nice holes up there. I suspect the closure will improve upper creek fishing. Tru nough - the trout are liking the Caddis of any color but the olive or dung colored seem to get the most nibbles. Parking at the washout and venturing out a mile or two to some nice holes made for great fishing!

I typically buy Chopin. I don't go over often enough to bring back anything. Besides, I tend to save my two-bottle customs limit for cognac and armagnac I picked up in the duty-free. The state-owned liquor stores here suck donkey dick and all stock the same mass-produced shite. I miss the good specialty stores in California... My favs are Zubrowka and Luksusowa but I can't really find them easily in EWash. There is a really good Fraser River Canadian Vodka, though can't recall the name off hand.

Seems like the Spanish have been hell bent on using EPO to win this year (ie. Tour de France & Giro).
