  1. It's on Bravo all the time just like Flesh Gordon is always on Space, at least according to the schedules... 'cause I've never watched them...
  2. I was thinking of the El Hombre. I'm really off today
  3. Sounds like my speculation that the C3's would be better up to #2 could be founded. I bet they'll be great to fill in the gap up to .5 C4 though. Now where are the offset Master Cams?
  4. I've had mixed results when flipping the rope. When I stack the rope on the sling I try to have each loop go progressively up the sling instead of stacking it all in a pile. I also do relatively long loops so there are fewer to get caught up with each other (as long as there's nothing for it to snag on). When I really want to get the rope stacked nicely I autoblock off the anchor and manage the rope when my partner is stopped. You don't really have to flip the rope then since it feeds from the bottom the same as it does from the top. YMMV.
  5. And who do they turn to when they need a expert opinion from the Dems: Shouldn't Limbaugh be charged? Isn't that a form of treason or something?
  6. Feel free to LOLmetal our bassist. That picture cracks me up
  7. I've heard good things about their wider skis like the Reverends and the Goliaths. Haven't tried them though. Hugh must have an opinion on this.
  8. No that's the extent of my metal collection. Like I said, just a casual listener. Our bassist would have all of that stuff. When he traveled around Europe he basically went from metal fest to metal fest.
  9. Will Brian Adams run to you to present it? God Bless the power of the internet.
  10. I'm not a *real* metal fan though; more of a casual listener.
  11. How about something from later than 1990? Mastodon (kind of prog metal) Sunn((O)) (ambient) Killswitch Engage Hammerfall (they crack me up but I can't listen to an entire album) Sapthuran (ambient) Lamb of God Our bassist is into that stuff. Some of his favourites are: Death Cradle of Filth Iced Earth (operatic metal) My Dieing Bride Venom I had a friend from Hungary who played in a black metal band. He once said something like "You can't play in a black metal band and not burn down churches." I recently discovered that there are bands that call themselves unblack metal: black metal with Christian themes. Some people take themselves too seriously. I'm listening to Archenemy on Myspace right now
  12. A bunch of us Canadians will be down there since it's a long weekend. Ask around, I'm sure you'll find someone.
  13. Check the auction histories. I would guess that they're either idiots or live somewhere where shipping is expensive.

    I Was Wrong

The premise of this bet is not provable. The implied meaning is McCain will win but how do you prove that it was easier to defeat Obama than Clinton?
  15. I agree K and you've pointed to the crux of any election but who actually discusses it. The media attention on elections dances around the diversion topics and skips the important ones IMO.
  16. As always that article is devoid of any real content. The quotes have a lot of doublespeak like calling the Palistinians violent and guilty of intimidation tactics and then turning around and claiming that they desire peace. He then says that he wants to move ahead with the peace process but supports Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and indicates maintaining the status quo that is responsible for the hostility. You can't declare support for one side of a dispute and then claim to be working toward peace unless it's peace by defeat. This quote is just fear mongering and has no meaning whatsoever: Succeed at what? What does the US, Israel and the West believe in a stand for? This wasn't a political visit? That's just a bald faced lie. I think McCain would make a better president than Bush it's the rest of the administration I'm worried about. The whole Republican machine frightens me far more than any terrorist threat. The problem is that the Democrats are just plain incompetent. You guys are screwed and your going to take us down with you.
  17. I just clicked on this thinking I would see ^^^^
  18. I haven't climbed in Yosemite but whenever someone says "X would be a 5.9 in the Valley" it seems that the climb has an endurance aspect. As I understand it the YDS is strictly a grade for the hardest move you'll have to make. There is no endurance factor. Sure, the Split doesn't have a move harder than 5.9 but every single move is 5.9. I think the moderate classics in Yosemite adhere to this principal and so when comparing to those routes most will seem easy when endurance has been factored in to the grade.
  19. Don't forget avian vocalists like Waldo from Hatebeak. uVBpRz4tIKU No parrots were harmed in the recording of this music.
  20. I've been listening to a lot of Gordon Lightfoot lately. I'm not sayin that I love you I'm not sayin that I'll care if you love me I'm not sayin that I care I'm not sayin I'll be there when you want me
  21. Looks like I get to claim my rain cheque at Smith this weekend. The stick clip is packed and ready to go.
  22. Duct tape your gear to your harness for those sketchy red points so you can slam those cams into the crack faster.
