  1. I'd just like to say that Index Fire/Rescue and Goldbar Fire/Rescue did an excellent job treating and getting the climber down safely.
  2. I'm freaking out man.....
  3. "Heavens Gate" UTW - RIP Dave Gunstone
  4. Until I saw the picture of Dave's jacket, I thought you might have named the route in memory of your Monthly pap smear Matt. Argus - IMHO you should have named it JFCFF
  5. bump
  6. A couple Saturdays ago I left my shoes at the base of Godzilla. They have "Dave Repnik" written on them size 8.0 or 8.5.
  7. Go Pat!!!! congrats on the free ascent boys! Dave
  8. So you actually wanted to climb that thing? After you had previously descended it???
  9. Flash climber..... SHUT UP! Now it is going to be rediculously busy.
  10. For those of you interested in Rewarding us. Argus likes anything with alcohol. Drep likes PBR. FenderFour likes Tall boys of crappy beer. Any donations will be gladdly accepted and can be left at the anchors on top of Hag Crag. I will probably be up at Hag Crag Monday morning, if anyone wants to join!
  11. Hag Crag -End Run 5.10a Scrubbed 10+ years of moss off with my WMD's (weapons of moss destruction) today. The bolts are bomber! Really fun slab straight out of D-Town. If you go to Private Idaho or Lookout Point, go check out this one while you're there. A 60m rope will work fine for top roping. Go get off your lazy butts and go climb something other than the LTW this weekend!
  12. If you see anyone on the Quary Wall, STAY OUT FROM BENEATH THEM (Don't go past Thin Fingers). A certain someone has been working on several cool new routes up there. However, it would be nice for him to post warning signs!
  13. All the routes listed are great routes. go get it, and clean something else while you're there!
  14. Don't worry about the grade, just climb it.
  15. Godzilla seeps for a couple days at the start for a couple days after heavy rains, Rogers and BOC should be good. Go check out Tatoosh, it dries very quickly. Remember that the higher on the wall you get the drier it will be. However, The tree thinning at the base has allowed the wall to dry off sooner - A big thanks to the secret homeboy who did that.
  16. Great, I can't wait to have another third person analysis of an accident from someone who's over the hill and thinks they know everything. No really I hope the climber's OK.
  17. Brushes, crowbar, and bolt kit. Have fun!
  18. Obviously, Grivel North America is gone.
  19. Second weekend should be great. There's a pipe coming out of ground nearby that should have water flowing.
  20. Other than just getting more milage on the specified climbs, go climb some long slab routes at Static Point or Darrington. The hyper-awareness of friction and subtle features has really allowed me to push myself on the face routes at Index.
  21. It's a different type of game. Technical and balancy instead of burl. Takes alot of practice, but you gotta love the classic Index slap to the face.
  22. I'm going to spare the personal shots I really really want to send to many of you. I am very disapointed at the level of discourse by many of the people in this discussion but it is CC.com what do you expect. I am a trad and alpine climber so I am well versed in bootying gear. However, when I see fixed draws on a route (overhanging or not, if I sent the route or not) I know to leave them in place. Someone obviously is serious about pushing their ability level. How can something be wrong with this. You would really have no knowledge of modern sport climbing tactics or no morals to believe it's OK to take multiple fixed draws off a route. IMHO It's the same as stealing fixed lines off a project. As for the "it is an eye sore arguement" It's effing Little SI.... big whoop. Bottom line, Bret meant nothing negative to come of this. He simply wanted to report his draws stolen. This discussion is pathetic. Have some respect!
  23. Not today! Great day all by myself.
  24. Plaques at the base? Please don't. Let's just make annonymous donations and call it good. And yes, they do have the best route names in the world!
