    No power

I think its alot cheaper to keep repairing them compared to the bug bucks to run them underground. I see them underground in many new neighbourhoods, so i guess if you are already digging things up to install other infrastructure, it makes sense. I would guess there are technical limitations to running high voltage transmission lines underground (i.e. induced currents).
  3. Perhaps its the "1200’ of unprotected 5.8 slab on somewhat dirty compact granite".
  4. Thx, Steph. I am planning to leave the trailhead by 11pm, summit by 7am and be off the glacier by 9am at the latest.
  5. What were the snow conditions on the Coleman-Deming route like? Icy? Post-holing? Can you drive right to the trailhead? Thinking of heading up the CD route in the next week. Thx
  6. You have more faith in people's ability to self regulate than I do. It has a Kevbone-esq cuteness to it.
  7. I was most interested in the self-regulatory decorum that the counseling corner seemed to foster and the interesting threads that stemmed from it. Spray itself has always been the worst example of what the mask of anonymity creates in all of us. eat a bag of dicks asseyes it is still possible. one just needs to pretend they possess the capability for self-regulatory decorum. People need a place to shit. if you don't tell them where they can shit, they will shit everywhere. Thats the purpose of the spray forum. Counseling corner provided a venue for non-climbing discussion where people knew they weren;t supposed to shit. It should be brought back. Please don't shit on this post.
  8. I'll be on a roadtrip to visit family in Calgary and Edmonton. Would like to connect with one or more partners to do some climbing in the Banff, Jasper or Interior BC over that time frame. I am open to suggestions, but on my tick list at the moment: -Mt. Sir Donald Grade III 5.2 -Brewers Buttress Grade II 5.6 – a 13 pitch climb on Castle Mountain near Banff) Dates are fairly flexible within a few constraints: -Trip will begin July 27 (+/- a day or two to accommodate climbing partner) -Need to be in Calgary afternoon of July 29 -Will be based in Calgary July 28-Aug4…good base for Banff area climbing -Will be in Edmonton Aug 4-9th-ish…good base for Jasper based-climbing -Need to be back in Vancouver (BC) by Aug 14th Who's up for a day two of climbing?

    Who/what is the nodder?
  11. Really? How did you arrive at that conclusion? Hey, they'd be complete shitholes inside a month if they weren't constantly maintained. No way. When the toilet needed to be cleaned, Choada would just drive out with his scrub brush and new roll of TP. It'd be all good.
