Actually those are the stock laces they come with. And, actually, Koflach Superpipe boots are snowboard boots (for use with plate bindings), but I guess they work just as well as mountaineering boots. As far as laces not freezing, I dunno, I have never had mine freeze up...

My sentiments exactly. I have the same GPS as you, and thought the same thing about the radio. I never use the radio, and well, could do without it as well. But for some reason, I usually always carry the GPS, even if I hardly ever use it. I guess it is a security blanket of sorts. A heavy one at that.
