Artifacts in glacial till laid down 100,000 years ago? Not possible. For one thing, the oldest artifacts in this area are 15,000 - 18,000 years old (18,000 is a controversial figure). Also, this all lacustrine and alluvial stuff we're in. There's no way artifacts could be present in a meaningful way even if the strata age fell within the dates of human occupation.

We’re currently mining about 200’ deep through some of the Pleistocene glacial deposits here in the Puget lowlands. Here are pictures of a couple items we have pulled out. Both items might be approximately 100,000 years old, although some of the deposits we will go through elsewhere were laid down 600,000 years ago. The problem with Clinton *is* that history! The memory of those issues lives long. It is the reason for the visceral dislike and immense negatives she causes. A huge fraction of people despise her and gravely distrust her. I, for one, believe she has no integrity at all. A large number of people who would vote for Obama over McCain will vote for McCain over Clinton. You better believe the GOP wants Clinton as the Dem nominee. They would win the White House easily. Clinton will do all the work for them merely by being the other candidate.

I worry that the popular and caucus votes will only narrowly favor Obama and that the superdelegates, who are all Establishment, will then throw the nomination to Clinton as their fellow insider. If McCain is the GOP nominee, a Clinton candidacy assures another Republican in the White House.
