  1. The problem with Clinton *is* that history! The memory of those issues lives long. It is the reason for the visceral dislike and immense negatives she causes. A huge fraction of people despise her and gravely distrust her. I, for one, believe she has no integrity at all. A large number of people who would vote for Obama over McCain will vote for McCain over Clinton. You better believe the GOP wants Clinton as the Dem nominee. They would win the White House easily. Clinton will do all the work for them merely by being the other candidate.
  2. I worry that the popular and caucus votes will only narrowly favor Obama and that the superdelegates, who are all Establishment, will then throw the nomination to Clinton as their fellow insider. If McCain is the GOP nominee, a Clinton candidacy assures another Republican in the White House. That would be a McCain landslide. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB120241915915951669.html?mod=opinion_main_commentaries
  3. My precinct sends 8 delegates to the district caucus. Final tally was: 7 Obama 1 Clinton 2nd round voting was: 106 Obama 21 Clinton 7 uncommitted 1 Mike Gravel
  4. It worked fine for me when I looked up my caucus location on Wednesday. But, I don’t wait until the morning of a trip to pack, either. It shouldn’t be a surprise that the site is jammed up. It’s unreasonable to expect a non-profit organization to pay for the maximum bandwidth it might need in one 24-to-36 hour period every four years. Do you know your legislative district? It's the first two digits of your precinct number. Many have their own Democratic organizations: http://www.wa-democrats.org/get_local_leg.php. It might be easier to find your caucus location from them, if you waited until today to figure that out.
  5. Kitchen arc welding! Cool! Since you're ditching the stove, see if you can reproduce the event on another bruner. (an aluminum pan would be a poor choice BTW)
  6. Yeah, but when he was in movies before those days, he could convincingly play very harsh, psycho bad guys.
  7. ...flown by water-fluoridating U.N. Zionists protecting Area 51.
  8. If there was ever a person who deserved things to go his way, it's catbirdseat. Brian, many are going to be very sorry to see you go. Fair winds and a following sea to you.
  9. Eastbound on U. S. 87 west of San Angelo, Texas in 1979. An A7U dove on us and leveled out just above the deck a hundred yards to our left. His dive bottomed out exactly beside us.
  10. Der Korthaus quite the dive
  11. CBS, very sorry to hear this. I got a metal shard in my eye once but I don't think it was as bad as yours. I hope you feel better soon.
  12. Think through the plan
  13. Let's not forget who else was in Total Recall...
  14. I've seen that woman before. But where...where? Now I remember! Ahnold's disguise in Total Recall!
  15. Persons interested in CF might want to take a look at and consider subscribing to the CF Journal and The Performance Menu. http://www.crossfit.com/journal/ http://www.performancemenu.com/
  16. The article whose link porter provides above (‘Budget cuts again imperil avalanche forecasts’) says among other things that Washington state has provided “$57,000 in stop-gap funding for the [Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center] through 2008” and that the state also has “a two-year study aimed at figuring out how to reliably fund the region's avalanche warning system.” “Knox Williams, a Colorado-based avalanche expert who is serving as a consultant to the state funding study…” says "The information can be provided in layers of sophistication…it doesn't have to dumb down the product."
  17. Weird. That was posted an hour ago and still no archie.
  18. I favor Gen. Jack Ripper. Cool under pressure, calculating, never taking his eye off the big picture, in control of his emotions, and concerned about water quality: Evolved Man. He will never just fling poo.
  19. Maximum speeding fine unless you are Dannible: $350. Dru and children should avoid this product. He used “Prerecorded for this time zone” twice. This.
